Solid company

I love my solar instinct. I’ve had it for two years and when it went from needing a charge every 3 weeks to all of a sudden needing a charge every 3 days I contacted Garmin. After some quick troubleshooting attempts we realized something was wrong. I shipped them my watch and within 6 days I had a new one in my mailbox. I love companies that stand behind their products. Happy to have an instinct back on my wrist. I MTB, climb, snowboard, lift kettlebells and it’s the perfect watch for me.

Battery Issues

After multiple setting adjustments, resets and ensuring latest software is installed, still have massive battery life issues. Lucky to get two days max of battery life. Wanted to have something with a longer battery life, but this isn’t it so far. No way I could count on this in the backcountry. All the functionality is there, but it is just unavailable.
Quick online search and there seem to be a lot of complaints about battery life. Some people have been lucky with good unit, but I am not on of them

Battery Good and bad.

I bought it around two years ago.
Battery last very good for normal use and not so long sport activities.
For runs over two hours need to be charge to 100% or watch turn off during activity.
I run a maraton an even though charge to 100% the wacth turn off at 4 hours.

Solar doesn't work

I bought this about 16 months ago, solar charging hasn't worked for over a year. Not a good purchase.

If it would stop turning off by itself

Bad battery

I boght it 2,5 years ago, the last year it have been shuting off. Battery says 100% after chargein 5 mins, shuts down after 2hours.

Loved this watch!

I absolutely loved my garmin instinct for the past year and a half. Sadly, my watch battery doesn't even last an hour on a full charge anymore. I have tried just about everything short of sending it in for repairs.
