I bought the instinct Solar and I love it so far, been use it for two weeks and I'm happy with it, mostly for bike rides around the city

Exceeded my expectations

I bought this watch in order to track walks and hikes for the mapping and timing features. This is exceptional. Also the fitness and sleeping tracking work well. The solar part of the watch is very helpful to sustain the battery life. I have been hesitant to get a GPS watch due to the need to recharge frequently, but this is not the case for the Solar Instinct watch.

This watch has everything you need for hiking, swimming, biking or even the gym. Very user friendly. The battery life is unbelievable!

Ease of use

So far so good - I do a lot of kayaking and mountain biking and so far the watch has lived up to all of my expectations. It stayed fully charged after 6 hours sea kayaking in the bright sun and I can't see it really ever running low so long as I do a little something outdoors each day. The GPS feature is very cool and useful when in the water (I did not buy the tide version) so long as you set timers for low, mid and high tides. We had a bit of fog recently and it came very handy to keep us oriented. Of course a simple compass and my phone would work too - but there is something to the quick ease of use by simply looking at your wrist.
I have a lot to learn yet and as I get deeper into it's controls and features - I'm sure it will be even a more valuable tool for navigating the coastal waters and deep woods of Maine.

Great hiking tracker!

I just recieved my new watch less than a week ago and used it when I went hiking this past weekend. The navigation worked great and it was awesome to be able to track my workout all on one device. The only issue I've seen is that it doesn't want to measure my oxygen intake.

Awesome Smart Watch

Did research for about 3 weeks. I'm satisfied with Garmin Solar Instinct. Happy with heart rate, elliptical, step & calorie counter features. Buying another one to give as a birthday present, highly recommend.
