Can't just buy one!!!

I literally spent hours researching this watch compared to the Vivoactive 4. Bought the Instinct Solar. So far I really like the fact that it's not a touch screen. Love the battery life through the solar charging function. Definitely reminds you of a really cool 80's retro style watch. The only gripe I have is that, due to the solar charging element inside the watch face, the notifications window is really small. I can't even think about being able to read a text on the screen without wearing glasses due to it's small size. So it basically just notifies me of an incoming message. I'm forced to view it on my phone. Other than that it's a really nice watch. However, this "shortcoming" allowed myself to justify buying the Vivoactive 4 also, a week later. So now I have two new Garmin watches. Both very different but I love them both. It's nice to have a backup for differing styles and moods but If I was absolutely forced to choose one, like on the off chance my wife would happen to see this review (LOL)....I'd have to go with the Vivoactive 4. Can't go wrong with Garmin. Been a loyalist for years.

I have every fitness watch/device that is on the market and I’m finding the Garmin to be the easiest App, most comfortable and best looking watch of the bunch. I will probably buy a second one.

features are good except for the steps function

I don't think the steps are very accurate it registers arm movements when not walking

I’ve had my Instinct Solar for three weeks. Had a Fitbit Versa two before. I really like the rugged look of the Instinct and love the features haven’t used them all yet. There are some big differences in the two the instinct only counts intensity levels if you are in a activity., the versa when bmp got over a certain number. But not that big a deal just had to adhjust some things I like it works like it’s supposed to and doesn’t look like a small computer on your arm. I recommend it.

This is overall a great watch. The only complaint I have is with the sleep tracking. I'm not convinced it is all that accurate, but that's minor. Great features, and it doesn't way over count steps like many other fitness trackers.
