I wanted a watch with more features than my Fitbit. I research them until I decided on the Garmin Instinct Solar and I'm very glad I did. I will admit that you need to familiarize yourself with the buttons and what they do. I downloaded the manual and just started playing with it to get used to which button did what. Soon it became easy to remember. I wanted a watch that wasn't too large, and the instinct fit the bill! Very happy and would definitely buy it again.

Don’t waste your money

The watch is not worth the price tag. The battery life is no where near what is advertised. Storm alerts are in inaccurate as are most other features.

Exceptional product!

Love this watch, have owned several weeks. Great fit and features, love that it is solar so I don't have to keep hooking up to a charger. Would be a 5 star but the directions from Garmin are horrible, almost returned the watch. Had I not found third-party YouTube videos explaining how to use, I would have returned for a refund.

I’ve had my Instinct Solar for a month now and I live it.Before smart watches came along I always wore dive watches, other G-Shock type watches. With the advent of smart watches I tried a few of the “cool square” ones and while they had great features there were many disappointing features too. That is when I decided to go back to something that combined the new smart watch technology with the tried and true I’ve been wearing for 50+ years. The only minor criticism I have is that it does not store any music. So if running or other activities I need to bring my phone for music. Other than that, it the absolute best watch I’ve ever owned.

Love the battery life

Love the way this watch looks. Clean interface that's immediately familiar to Garmin watch users. Have recorded some activities in challenging GPS conditions and gotten great results.
And of course the battery life is excellent.
Only nit is the lack of power meter support. Lame. I had trouble with my bike computer on a recent ride and had to record with my Instinct. Annoying not to record my power data.
