I wish it had told you that things like GPS and VO2 max didn’t come in this model. Or that it wasn’t compatible with garmin IQ

This is the most comfortable watch I have ever worn on my wrist. This is particularly important when using it on hot days here in Texas. Love this fitness device already!

I’m pretty happy with it but It only received about 10% of my texts or phone calls. I had expected the smart notification to be a little (lot) better

Watch is very Durable and has outstanding battery

I recently moved over from Fitbit Versa 2 to Garmin Instinct. I moved because Fitbit watches were not durable (I had two bands and watch face fall off) in two years despite being very careful. Battery life was less than 4 days on Fitbit. I have had Instinct for 6 months and it is extremely durable and I am getting abut 17 days battery life bot are great improvement from Fitbit. You do give-up screen brightness and ease of on screen menus with the fitbit. Those were trade off's I was willing to make for a more durable watch and much better battery life. I also believe the heart rate monitor is better on the Garmin. I would give Fitbit the nod on sleep analytics accuracy. For my needs as an avid hiker the Garmin wins hands down but if you are converting from Fitbit expect a learning curve to master the menus with buttons versus touch screen. It has taken me about 6 months to get comfortable with navigating the menu's and some level of frustration. Iy has taken a few months but I am glad I made the switch, depends on primary reason you are getting a smart watch. If you are looking for rugged and great battery life Garmin Instinct is a great choice.

Lightweight and nice looking!

Fairily easy to use, l do not read instructions usually. What bothers me is that selects Farenheit for temperature just because l selected English for language while l live in Germany… Surely can be adjusted, but l need to figure it out. Also, due to the joints it looks like it will need a bit of time to brush it clean once dirty. I am critical by nature… It took me a long time to find a light, somewhat tough watch to do multiple sports (some extreme) with, yet easy to use/own and not to be overloaded with junk like most of the G-….ock. Being solar with a battery life indicator is a great improvement. Did not use the navi… l hope l will get my landings right and l will not needed… but if l ever will need to deploy my reserve and land in the woods somewhere… is good to know l have it… let’s hope it works as well as my old garmin gps did :-) Pleased with it thus far!

Doesn’t work with tattoos. Difficult to learn.

Bought this for my husband because I have a real big problem with subscription models and thought it would be cool to be able to see your stats without using your phone app. He hated it! It doesn’t work with tattoos. He wound up getting a whoop he absolutely loves so I started using the watch. I can’t figure out how to use this thing. I consider myself somewhat tech savvy, but this requires a lot of YouTube videos and a good memory.
