Beautiful GE SmartHQ Electric Range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good! This stove fits our kitchen perfectly! It was fairly simple to install and make level with our countertops (hint: remove the lower drawer to access the feet to make it level). The controls are very easy to use and look great! The glass top is beautiful and easy to keep clean (we use a equal parts mix of distilled white vinegar and distilled water in a spray bottle and then wipe clean with a microfiber cloth). Use the control lock to wipe the control area clean, otherwise you will activate all kinds of stuff! The bottom drawer has a soft close feature, which is nice! Everything on this stove works better than expected!

Not Worth It

Had it for less than two years, and it died. Absolute waste of money. Buyer beware. When it worked, the controls were twitchy, would sometimes turn on multiple burners that were not activated, and would lock or become unresponsive when turned on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’re sorry to hear your range isn’t working, and you’ve had some issues with the controls. We want to help. If the range doesn’t appear to have power at all, we recommend disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. Troubleshooting regarding what to try if the unit doesn’t appear to have power, and for an issue with the surface units not working properly, is available on page 27 of the manual; that’s linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--fjNKdJO2--/xylbh8mtk9dtzlzqbc62.pdf.
Information regarding locking the controls is available on page 11 of the manual. The controls can be locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the Lock Controls pad for three seconds.

Great installation team

Very nice and did not complain even though I had to make a modification to the area before they could install the stove. Super good meeting with them. Would recommend them personally for anything I needed installed in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleaning the controls is difficult because when you swipe, it turns something on. A little hard to see the selections on the controls. Paid for installation but they did not tie in the non tip over feature. Capacity is for normal everyday user. Like the flat top griddle feature for the burners.

It’s a good idea to wipe the control panel after each use. Be sure to clean with mild soap and water or vinegar and water, rinse with clean water and polish dry with a soft cloth. The controls are very intuitive, and we had the unit up and running in no time. The capacity of the range is a major improvement over our old unit. The number and function of the burners is very nice. Cleaning should be a breeze as the top surfaces are smooth and easy to access.
