Great range and Looks Beautiful.

The range is exactly what we wanted to show off our new kitchen, however, it takes a lot of cleaning to keep it looking great. The glass top needs to be cleaned after every use and it shows all the splatter if you don't. Good thing it doesn't have any knobs. The oven cleaning does not have a self cleaning feature except for steam cleaning feature which does not work very well. Manual cleaning is the only option.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ways to make better...

So far the range has performed as expected. I'm disappointed that there is no printed manual that comes with appliance. I get the "go to the website" but I was looking forward to recipes for the air fryer...tips on how to use and so forth. You missed the mark on that!!

Great After-Purchase Support and Customer Service

I’ve found that when companies promise, as almost all do, that customer satisfaction is there highest priority what they are really saying is “customer satisfaction is our highest priority…until it isn’t.” And the “until it isn’t” occurs the minute a customer has an issue with a product that will cost the company money.
You know how it is: you use the company’s web site to make your issue known only to find that the company never responds to your message; the hour-and-a half wait on the phone before you reach a live person only to be told that the person can’t help you, but the person will transfer you to someone who can followed immediately by a dial tone; you make a second call to the company and endure another hour-and-a-half wait to speak to a person who this time does transfer you to someone supposedly able to help; this person, the personification of politeness and friendliness, then informs you that she is sorry but your particular problem is not covered by the product warranty, and refers you to provision 9.7.6.5(b)(i) (which, of course, is in very fine print) of the written warranty to support her contention.
What are you going to do at this point – hire a lawyer? Not likely.
Well, I am here to tell you that, based on my experience, this familiar scenario is NOT what you will experience when you purchase a product from GE Appliances.
My wife and I purchased what is for most people, including us, an expensive GE Appliances Range (Model PSS93YPFS) earlier this year. Everything was fine for the first few months, but then we started experiencing a performance problem. We had GE Appliance Repair personnel out to the house a few times. On each occasion the repairman thought he had fixed the problem and each time he was wrong. We reached the point where we felt it was time to escalate the problem to someone higher in the chain-of command.
It took some calls, but I eventually got connected to a person in Customer Relations who immediately acknowledged that the repair process to date had not been up to the company’s usual standards of customer service. Within a week the problem was fixed to our satisfaction. And the fix cost GE Appliances some real money.
Every company stands behind its products when there isn’t a problem with them; only the best companies stand behind their products when there is a problem. And that is what GE Appliances did for us.

Love Hate Relationship

We like the looks and function of the stove, its a big change from our previous stove. It's easy to operate and well thought out. The part we do not like is the cooking top itself. It works great, and I guess it's saving us energy because we can select the heating diameter. That said, we have to always clean and remove scratches and spots. If we get anything (a drop of water) it leaves a spot. Most of the time it will not just wipe off when cleaning. We need to use a sponge and baking soda then carefully scrub that area. Good news is, it cleans up. NEVER, NEVER slid a pan or pot, (looks like scratched glass) it will take longer to clean. They even tell you what pots and pans to use on it because GE knows this surface cannot take any abrasion or a drop of water. GE engineers forgot about form, fit and function when choosing the top.
Yes, we do use newer pots and pans (Le Creuset) however we are not throwing out all of our cookware because of this stove.
The above text is just my personal opinion and is to the best of my knowledge, true.

Need to be connected to Wi-Fi completely stupid !!!
Response from geappliances.comBy Tierra@GEAGE AppliancesAugust 22, 2023
Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to connect. We're sorry to hear you're not pleased with your new appliance. Yes, this range will have to connect to wifi once to the air fry cooking mode and Convection Roast. After connecting once, you can disconnect from wifi if you desire and continue to the enhanced features such as Convection Roast and Air Fry.

Please let us know if there is anything we can assist with. We're always here and more than glad to help. - Tierra@GEA

It would be perfect except for one big thing.
on January 3, 2024

Great stove except for one thing. The largest burner (front right) does not heat evenly at all. The center element of the front right burner is MUCH hotter than the other two elements. It causes the food in the middle of the pan to burn, and it has warped our expensive MadeIn cookware.
We called GE and they sent out a technician. The tech said that's all these ranges are and replacing the element wouldn't help.
If the large triple element burner had even heat, I would give a five star rating. It would be a near perfect appliance. The oven is awesome. The touch controls are great and easy to clean. It has silent operation because it's not induction.

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so sorry to hear that this range hasn't fully lived up to your expectations due to the heating of the right front burner becoming too hot. This is definitely not the consumer experience that we strive for with this range. As we continue to make improvements to our appliances, your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass this along to our product team to review.

We are honored that you chose GE Appliances for your home, and we hope you enjoy your beautiful new range for many years to come. Happy cooking! - Adrian@GEAppliances

Best Upgrade

Have had the range for a week now and really enjoy it! Had an older model that was I. The house when I moved in, expect it was 15yrs+ in age. I can tell the difference in the cook top...seems quicker and more even! A huge lasagna was the 1st dish baked in the oven and it cooked evenly and my guests raved over it! Next, I used "air fry" function for hot wings...can't wait for Super Bowl! Am ready to try some baking of banana bread, am sure it will be the best ever!

Profile Range quality has gone down; range racks no longer coated and no slide out rack. Display is hard to read as it is dot matrix.
