Not self cleaning

I bought this model last summer and planned to clean the oven today. It has a steam clean button, and I ASSUMED (my fault) that there was another selection for self-clean when steam clean was selected. I had to go online to find the manual and learn that not only there is no a self-clean feature but also one may not use an oven cleaner or sponge. Soap and water or vinegar and water must be used. What engineer designed that? Whoever s/he is, I’d like to invite them to my house to clean up the horrendous, baked-on oven spill I’m dealing with! This was not an inexpensive range.

First one showed it broken. Would not even power up. Second one sparks inside and trips breaker few times a week

Love the temperature probe for the oven

A bit leery to give more stars than 2. Just got the stove 2 days ago. I did notice some pitting in the glass cooktop. Just in a few spots. Used it yesterday for the first time and the burner is already scratched and you can see a circle where the pot was. I used the cleaner and a glass cooktop scrubber. It is not burned on food. I liked the way the burners performed but had an older model and the glass cooktop is still perfect. Tried to add pics but was not able to.

Controls randomly come on without touching. We have to lock out to make sure that burners don’t start on their own.
We’ve had this range for only three years and now the large burner does not work at all

Top Marred After First Use!

We finally had our remodeled kitchen to the point on being able to use the new oven/stove. After making dinner, it was noticed that the two eyes used were marred from the cookware! I did not slide these pots around other than the slight movement that likely occurred when stirring the food within. The other pot didn’t even get stirred or moved as it was simply boiled water for pasta. Very disappointed that this occurred the very first time it was used. Very frustrating to have a brand new beautiful kitchen and this top end range to now have it look like this after one use.
Plan to use the oven tonight, so hoping that works well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks great. Impossible to keep clean!

I love the features and functionality of this stove. But it is the worst appliance I have ever owned when it comes to keeping it looking clean. Everything is a glossy reflective surface. Every fingerprint or sneeze particle shows up on this stove, and then smears when you clean it. I wouldt recommend it.

Run away range

The burners like to turn them selves on and then eh control pad is not responsive, so we have to unplug the unit to get it to turn off.

Not so good, disappointed...

So far the verdict is still out but to start the surface including the controls are ALL TOUCH so it shows every fingerprint! The steel is fingerprint resistant but not the glass controls & rest of it! For the most part cooking on it is great. HOWEVER, in order to use certain features you MUST enroll your cell phone which is really stupid! And this is not identified anywhere before purchase! First the things they are asking in the enrollment process (which is a third party NOT GE) are really intrusive and not relevant to using the product. I'm in IT and deal with cyber security and have issues with this! Next if we enroll my wife's phone and she's not home I can't use the features! So no wings at halftime unless she's around. I get the process and it's advanced but really GE needs to rethink it! First it's restricted to iPhone or android so if you have a Windows tablet your out of luck. I have any number of suggestions but they would have to rewrite the user interface and pay me for the ideas. Lets just say they really missed the mark and didn't even think about Google Home or Alexis.. We own 5 GE Profile appliances and now this range makes 2 that are just plain stupid and it increases the cost of the appliance.
