About 3 weeks in, and Very impressed…BUT

My wife and I love the appearance. I am even happier with the air fryer function so far. Getting used to the top burner controls, but warn anyone considering this range to really be aware just how sensitive and easy to touch they are. Could be a problem under some conditions. We had a ceramic top range for at least 16 years, so are familiar with cleaning smooth tops, but if I have an unfavorable comment, it will be that this glass too seems more difficult to clean even light cooking spills, and despite not being cooked on even 10 times, appears to have some sort of glass pitting(?) formed in the mid-ring of the multi-sized front burner, and a couple of minute haze stains around the same. Thus far, a pot of grits, a pot of oatmeal, two omelettes, and a pot of boiled cabbage, represent ALL the cooking on the surface; all but one on the multi-size burner. That is a rather unacceptable Condition so early in the life of this appliance.

I have a brand new stove that’s already defective. I’ve got a call in for it to be repaired and they’re coming next week but it’s awful that it’s brand new and already has an issue.

I am disappointed on this appliance Phone app takes forever to connect to appliance and I have a great internet service Also only one burner heats up quick so good luck if you have to cook several dishes Because they other burners will take forever The worst disappointed is the connection the app is horrible It has features that you can’t even use You buy the appliance expecting the features to work and they do not I am big fan of GE appliances but this one did not meet my expectations.

We recommend using a dark surface, solid baking pan with low rimmed sides, such as a sheet pan, is recommended for use with Air Fry. The darker pan surface promotes better browning and crisping. You can purchase it anywhere from online/retail store. We recommend reaching out to our parts department directly by calling 1-877-959-8688. Not so good, disappointed...

So far the verdict is still out but to start the surface including the controls are ALL TOUCH so it shows every fingerprint! The steel is fingerprint resistant but not the glass controls & rest of it! For the most part cooking on it is great. HOWEVER, in order to use certain features you MUST enroll your cell phone which is really stupid! And this is not identified anywhere before purchase! First the things they are asking in the enrollment process (which is a third party NOT GE) are really intrusive and not relevant to using the product. I'm in IT and deal with cyber security and have issues with this! Next if we enroll my wife's phone and she's not home I can't use the features! So no wings at halftime unless she's around. I get the process and it's advanced but really GE needs to rethink it! First it's restricted to iPhone or android so if you have a Windows tablet your out of luck. I have any number of suggestions but they would have to rewrite the user interface and pay me for the ideas. Lets just say they really missed the mark and didn't even think about Google Home or Alexis.. We own 5 GE Profile appliances and now this range makes 2 that are just plain stupid and it increases the cost of the appliance.

Circuit breaker off. 3 prong 40 amp wires properly installed. Very visible and audible electrical spark/flash from top, front right side of the unit after being plugged in and breaker turned on. This review is less than 24 hours after powering on the unit. SEEMS to be working. Unit not fully in place for regular/daily use. This review is solely for purposes of putting GE service on notice.

Glass will not clean unless you use the cream after washing with a sponge first, takes too long. The control panel will not lock to make cleaning easier. Only has steam clean and that is definitely not enough

It’s understandable to be frustrated when you can’t get your appliances clean and we’d like to share some troubleshooting tips that will help.
The good news is that your range does offer a “Lock Controls” function so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls during cleaning. Simply press and hold the “Lock Controls” pad, for three seconds to lock or unlock the control. “Cancel/Off” is always active, even when the control is locked.
The Steam Clean option helps hydrate food soils so that they are easier to wipe away. The soil can then be wiped off the oven interior and racks using a cloth dampened with warm, soapy water. To remove any remaining stubborn, baked-on stains, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend using a sponge or clean cloth.

Don't fall for the usage of the word slide in!

Not a true slide in. All GE "slideins" are stand alone that sit between cabinets

We are more than happy to provide guidance. Our slide in ranges are designed to fit into a free-standing range cut-out opening. These slide-in ranges have finished sides, so they do not need a side body panel kit.
