Some features are not working as expected and have been unable to get any support for questions about them. Automated phone and online systems just give runaround.

Fire hazard

This stove is a fire hazard. Too easy for a person or a pet to bump the control panel and turn on the burner. My dog almost burned my house down today.

We take your situation seriously, and we’d like to look into this further. We can advise that model PSS93YPFS does have a Lock Controls option, which you can activate so pressing the pads doesn’t activate the controls. You can press and hold the Lock Controls pad for three seconds to lock or unlock. This is discussed on page 11 of your manual, which is linked here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--qM9QHGZM--/9f005e7d6f2c5a48f1c5b769d23f0b65631a8895.pdf. The model also has indicator lights to let you know if an element is on or the surface is hot.
