So far so good- good installation suggestions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation of my GE-PSS93YPFS went smoothly, I was able to take all the sticky protective covering off ; the installer recommended I wait until the stove is in the house a while and warms up as it had been in a cold truck ; he stated that the protective coverings and tape will come off more smoothly and not leave glue behind once the stove warms up. He was right. Most of the tape and protective covering came off fine and I used warm water and soft rag to rub of what was left behind. The other important thing is to buy the ceramic glass cleaner ahead of time as they recommend cleaning/polishing the glass top before using it. This protects and cleans it. I used Cerama Bryte Cooktop cleaner. Follow directions. I used a paper towel to initially wipe it and then a soft cloth towel to finish. The first cleaning left black residue on the paper towel, so it was dirty and was a good idea to clean it first. The manual states when you first use the stove there may be a smell. There was a small electrical smell for a little while but it didn't last. The installer did not install the metal anti-tip bracket that came with the stove. It was hidden in the drawer and I didn't see it; the drawer was taped closed. The stove is very flush and tight in the space so it should be ok without the bracket. My prior 30 year old Jenn Air didn't have a bracket and it was never a problem. I made dinner the first night on the stove top after going online to review the manual. The only thing I have to get used to is the controls; they turn the stove on at the slightest touch. When wiping the control section, you have to be so careful; even just slightly brushing against them causes them to go on if you happen to be standing near the stove. Fortunately, there is a little beep when the control is engaged. We don't have small children or pets so hopefully this will not be a problem. I warned my husband to be careful but he is hard of hearing so I told him to look for the red "hot" light indicator for each of the burners when they go on. The drawer seems to be a decent size and well built. I found the serial number and model number to register the stove on the inside of the drawer, you need to pull out the drawer and look at the metal plaque on the bottom of the stove towards the back, inside the drawer cabinet. It's only been a day but so far so far so good! I need to get the air fryer accessory. I did a lot of research on stoves and hopefully in the long run it will pay off. I didn't give it 5 stars as it's only one day old. I need to see how it performs with time. I have not tried the Wifi yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
