Solid Value for the Money

This is the second Asus laptop I have owned and the dollar for dollar value cannot be beat. The all-plastic construction does make it’s case less tolerant of being banged about, but has never affected the performance of the laptop. The full size USB inputs and edge to edge screen are fantastic features and the speaker sound is more than adequate for day to day conferences and streaming. The availability of Bluetooth makes using a small supplemental speaker possible when I want a more immersive viewing experience. I was a repeat customer when I bought this new one, and will be a loyal customer going forward.

Great basic laptop for a good price point

This was perfect for my basic needs to replace a 10 year old laptop. I use it for Office, entertainment (browsing, YouTube, etc.), and school work. Set up was fast and I am happy. Several reviewers mentioned muted colors. The settings must be adjusted to achieve your best color and resolution if it is an issue for you.

Great price, great build, neat design

I bought this for my niece for her college a week ago. She loves it and very happy with it. The laptop itself is pretty good for a reasonable price. Not as fancy as a MacBook but will definitely makes it through her college years.

A lot of power

I bought the ASUS F512JA laptop 2 months ago for my son, who is in college majoring in Engineering. It is working well for him as far as performance, with a powerful CPU chip (i5) and a lot of RAM (12 GB), but just the other day, the speaker on it started having a static sound. It might just be the particular one I bought, though.
Notice: I am receiving a warranty extension from ASUS for this review.
