It only fits the chubby puzzles on the bottom (which I knew). However, the top part for regular puzzles is too small in width even for Melissa & Doug regular puzzles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Shelf is good for the money. It is difficult for young children to manage, but then they are still learning. Over all I am pleased with the puzzel rack.

Great for an organized play area

This rack solved my puzzle dilemma. Before getting this product, we had puzzles all over the place; now my daughter know where to find all of her puzzles. I chose this particular rack because it holds the jumbo knob puzzles, as well as chunky and peg puzzles. A great purchase, I highly recommend it!
