Great toy - my son loves it.

Great sturdy toy. My soon to be 3 year old son loves it. My only complaint is the blocks that support the elevated tracks and bridges. A 3 year old is going to bump into them and the block shift and the elevated tracks and bridges fall down. The blocks could be better designed so that it isn't very easy to kids to knock them down. But that's my only complaint. My son loves trains and this toy is perfect for him.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Operate, Easy To Assemble, Well Built / Quality
Cons: Bridge Supports Not Great

My daughter was 2 when I requested this and now she's 5 and able to play with her little brother who's 2. The tracks don't stay together--or at least they fall apart really easily if they get bumped and are elevated into some kind of cool bridge design. I bought some little plastic clips called Sure Track and the problem is solved. I do most of the track building, and then my kids go to town, but they also enjoy building their own "roads" through the house. The magnetic bits are a lot of fun. We did get some Thomas trains since the kids are obsessed, and of course they work perfectly with this track.
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Entertaining, Great Value

Serious design flaw??!!

Lovely train set but the raised tracks absoulutely cannot be used! It all falls apart. Are people gluing or screwing the tracks down to make it playable? This 50 year old handyman helping the little guys do something with this is left wondering what the designer was thinking...any ideas welcome.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So much fun for a young child!

We had this on our back porch for outside play. My then three-year old son and one-year old daughter had tons of fun. This toy is very interactive and entertaining.
Pros: Durable, Entertaining, Fun, Interactive

dissapointed but made work

We were so excited about this train set. It is a great set but it does not stay attached when played with. My daughter is two and destroyed it within minutes which was disappointing since it took so long to put it together. We put on our thinking caps and put the 3m command strips under every piece so it was attached to the train table. Make sure you leave the tab sticking out so when you are ready it easy to take apart. The raised tracks will not stay together if you don't do something like this to make it more sturdy. Other than that its a great track.
