Instability?

My son is now a Godzilla wanna be with how fast he demolished the set up. The supports don't do much raside from bracing where the pieces of track join. Any small nudge, even by my adut sleeve, knocked pieces over inadvertently and easily. As he grows and I can make alterations to make it more secure, may have to go away into the box. I might add, this was obtained as an AirMiles reward here in Canada, not purchased through a retailer. However, same product, same flaws.

This is a cute train set but falls apart as soon as my daughter starts to play with it. I'm disappointed and not worth the price.

Got both of my sweet sons a train set for Christmas, and like other reviews, the stilts are very wobbly. In addition to the stilts not being suitable for 3-5 year old developmentally appropriate play, one of the instructions sets we followed didn't even allow for the trains to go under the tunnels. The trains were made too big. So the only way to use them is by doubling up on the stilts. This just leads to frustration as little hands and bodies easily knock them over due to poor stability. I'm just really disappointed. We've always looked to Melissa and Doug for quality toys and this is kind of a huge let down.

The set is beautiful but it's hard to build and it falls apart at the sound of a door closing. It's very frustrating after you spend half a day building it.

Not user friendly

I was excited to purchase this for my almost three year old, however when he played with it, even the slightest touch and it would collapse. We put it away until he was three in hopes he could maneuver it better. We have since tried it again and have the same problem. Even as an adult, I knock it over frequently. Our little guy loves trains and we no longer use it, as he gets mad every time it collapses.

beautiful train set , but when its set up the engine doesn't fit thru the bridges, really disappointing for my grandchildren , they spent so long setting it up and it doesn't function as it should. the supporting blocks need to be taller or the engines less tall
