Air fryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have never used an air fryer before. We have air fried fish that my husband caught. It is the only way we’ll ever do it now! So crispy and absolutely no greasy mess, no smell in the house, and the fish stay intact. We love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Avoid at all costs for several reasons
on May 10, 2023

I despise this range. We bought it as a suite with the bespoke fridge and dishwasher (which are both great). There are three distinct issues with this range that makes it truly terrible: the exhaust, the stovetop dials, and the Rapid Boil burner.
I was unaware at the time of purchase that this range has a built in exhaust that will turn on automatically every single time you turn the oven on, even just proving bread. You cannot turn it off, as it is to cool the electrical components. It is SO LOUD and pumps super hot air from the oven into your kitchen. I actually temped the air, and in front of the range it is typically 10-15+ degrees F hotter than the ambient temp of our home. You essentially cannot comfortably use the oven and the stovetop at the same time due to the excessive heat venting from the back exhaust, as well as the noise. It also vents hot air for about 30 minutes after you turn the oven off, so you get to enjoy the dulcet tones of your range venting while you're eating dinner.
The second issue with this range is the front dials are very easy to turn on. You just have to barely brush them with your fingers or lean against them and they'll turn on. There is a lock feature, but that only locks the oven door, not the dials. What a pointless safety feature. If you have kids or pets, they will be able to turn the stovetop on very easily bc the front dials are easy to reach. Huge fire risk. For us, we often put stuff like groceries on the stovetop when we're bringing them in. I could totally see plastic melting onto the stovetop bc I accidentally brushed against the dials.
Finally, the "Rapid Boil" burner is terrible. It's either off or on some magical molten lava setting. Your pasta will boil over every time. You will burn everything you put on this burner, even on 2 or Lo. I have tried to simmer soup on this burner on 2, and had to throw the entire stockpot away bc it scorched such a thick layer of carbon to the bottom of the pot I couldn't scrub it off. Using this burner also affects the other burners, making them run hotter as well. You more or less can't use the Rapid Boil burner, meaning 25% of the stovetop is useless.
I regret buying this slide in range. I tell everyone I know how terrible it is. Now I'm warning you- for the love of all that is holy, buy a different range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let us go ahead and figure out how we can improve your experience with the range, Mrs. Hrubey.

After using the oven, the cooling fan will continue running after cooking until the oven has cooled down. We recommend venting your kitchen with an open window or using a ventilation fan or hood.

For more details, please see the following section in the manual. Link below.

Having the range accidentally turn on by hitting the know is indeed dangerous. Getting a knob cover is a great way to prevent accidentally turning on the knob.

Range knobs accidentally turn on the cooktop too easily
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01203557/

Keeping an eye on foods on the stove at high or medium-high heat settings is essential to prevent burning or boiling over.

It's uncommon for the cooktop to be hotter than it should be, even after adjusting the Rapid Boil surface from 2 to LO. After the cookware has been heated, the surface element will not cool down quickly, especially if the cookware maintains contact with the element.

For more safety reminders, please see Important safety instructions/4th bullet on page 10 in the user manual and the cooktop temperature in the "Cooking elements are too hot" section links below.

Know what your venting system is first
on June 11, 2023

I got this to replace an 20 yr old kenmore dropin which was still working by the way.
I did not expect this to get marks so easily on the stovetop. I only cooked on it 2x before I got marks. I was very careful . so condensation or any water on stove top can cause bubble marks? I feel that is crazy.
If you get these awesome features of airfry/convection glass top range. It is better if you have a vent that goes outside if you plan to use airfry. My house got very smokey with only inside venting. I have not tried the roast or dehydrate yet. But oven seems to have good features. Im not sure about all the smart features it has yet. Make sure you have flat n smooth bottom pans. stainless steal or Anodized. Get a new set if ya have to.
