I had looked at this several times before deciding to buy. Overall very pleased. Looks fantastic and the output is so great I keep it on low most of time. I only gave it 4 stars because the fan makes some noise. Isolated the noise to the oscillating button. Seems to not be centered and vibrates off the side of the hole.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The immediate observation about the fan (beyond how heavy it is) is that it cannot be positioned to blow at an upward angle. If the fan is placed on the floor, it can only be angled up a tiny amount. It looks like it could be angled up more, but the mount solidly resists.
The more serious issue is that it doesn't oscillate smoothly; in one direction it gets stuck for half a second and then makes a distracting "plink" sound and continues. I couldn't sleep while it was running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
