Nice features but not durable

Leaking after 5 years, won't clean dishes

I bought this in 2020 and now it leaks. When I start it, it sounds like it's working, but found out it was leaking for who knows how long. It wouldn't clean the dishes, and found that it was leaking into my living room. I keep the dishwasher clean: cleaning the filters, vinegar once a month, and tablets once a month to keep it working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my dishwasher it works Awesome even though it turns off randomly while it's not in use only and I just have to disconnected and rewire and it works Awesome again.

Doesn’t work

3 years in and no longer works. No lights on door. Outlet has power. Only buy if you plan on replacing every couple years.

We know this issue with your dishwasher must be concerning, and we want to assist. You may want to try resetting the dishwasher by disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue.

Not great or ok

So far I’ve had it for 4 years and I’ve had to replace the main circuit board on the front of it and the water inlet valve and the pump

Do not buy!

Piece of crap! Never did a great job of cleaning (even if thoroughly rinsed). Had to have 2 service calls in first year (first one Irvin 40 days of purchase). Died after 3 years.

Beware

I own two of these dishwashers. One is at my house and the other was installed at my mother’s home. Both units developed the same problem after about 2 years of use. They simply turned off by themselves at random times and would not power up again. This appears to be a factory defect in the main control panel which GE is aware of and does not correct. A replacement control panel costs almost as much as a new dishwasher. Sadly, this dishwasher is a total waste of money. Buy another brand.

Ours is dead and only 6 years old. The GE dishwashers used to last a lifetime. Now your lucky to have one last 5 or 6 years.
