Not the successor for an old iPad I'd hoped for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this primarily as a potential successor to a 11-yr old 16GB iPad 2 to read the Toronto Star ePaper which replicates the print version. The app works but performance is worse than that of the old device. The 10e freezes up while downloading the paper and seems to take quite a while more to settle down its functionality while rendering or something has to complete.
Responsiveness may be an issue. What little keyboarding we've done with that accessory has seen some sporadic loss of characters. I don’t know if that's a key press issue or the cpu failing to detect them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent tablet for a decent price. Some app related issues (Disney+) has a low volume setting. Netflix is great. Takes some getting used to operating an Android tablet (different from Android phone). Don't open multiple apps - this is not that tablet. I can see why they'd advertise this for school use and it is definitely for that. My toddler likes it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performance wise, it's OK. Screen has a nice high definition, but is very glossy (which generates annoying light reflection). Product description presents the possibility to expand internal storage, but there is no dedicate port.
