Best shave ever!

I have owned a Braun electric razor since the early 70s. My wife encouraged me to purchase a new one, and so I bought the Series 9 Pro with the powercase, 9477 cc and cleaner. My beard is quite heavy, so I usually have to spend a long time running my older Braun back and forth. But with the 9 Pro, in just a few minutes, my face is shaved as close as my safety razor! The 9 Pro is light, charges fast and completely contours to my face. The powercase recharges the razor quickly and all in all, shaving has now become effortless!! I LOVE this razor! I highly recommend the Series 9 Pro.

Almost Excellent - but it pulls my hairs!

After using a 7-series Braun shaver for years, I was surprised how well this new 9-series cuts through longer beard hair. The design seems tailored to that task.
My series-7 actually still gives a closer and more gentle shave. It is better than the 9-series for cleaning up short stubble - for example, daily shaving. The 7-series never pulls my hairs when I’m shaving from 1-3 days of stubble.

However, this new 9-series has painfully caught and pulled my beard hairs multiple times at every use! Ouch! I’m starting wonder whether I received a faulty cartridge, or the design of the cartridge is poor. It pulls my hair every time, no matter what length my beard is at - even 1-2 day stubble. It pulls more if the beard is longer, even though it makes short work of cutting down a longer beard.
Braun, unless this is a known design flaw, I’d appreciate it if you would send me a new replacement cartridge. Perhaps that would fix the problem? Shaving with such an expensive shaver should not be painful…
The Powercase is large, but still convenient enough for travel and it works well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Braun Razor

My Dad recommended I get a Braun Razor after my old Norelco razor wasn't working as well. I was a bit skeptical, but after using it for about a month. I am much happier with this Razor than I ever was with my old one. Way less work for a better shave.

So I had a 7 series since maybe about 2009 and then accidentally left it in a hotel drawer recently and the hotel was absolutely not helpful in trying to get it back (I’m looking at you Mountain Lodge in Telluride - zero stars for customer service) I loved that thing. Reliable shave. Only complaint was the edge trimmer snapped off of it early in its life span which I missed - it was handy! Bad design … anyway so time to upgrade to the latest and greatest 9 series! Here’s what I have learned: The shave is the same in my opinion, not better, not quieter. I was surprised that after reading all the hype 14 years later the shave is just about the same and not quieter. Also same comment can be made about the charging base and cleaning functions- it’s why I only gave 4 stars. The travel case is the size of a shoe and heavy but with the built in battery charging capability I’m impressed. The old case was cheap plastic and also broke. The edge trimmer is back! The design looks like it will not snap off - happy to have it - it’s more handy than anyone seems to say. In fact I find few comments about it and there are zero pictures of it online. I was worried they did away with it entirely. Would I recommend it? If just shaving and not traveling much I would say save your money and buy a lesser model. The shave will be the same and if you don’t care about the fancy (and heavy) travel case or the edge trimmer design then don’t buy the highest price one. Perhaps a lower series will work just fine. Mine did for 14 years and probably would have for longer. Oh and pro tip/hack: if you want to not have your charging base cartridges evaporate before you have used them up I suggest keeping them plastic tab that seals the top and after using it for a clean just slide the cartridge back out and firmly push the tab back into the holes for storage until the next cleaning session. Game changer for how often you have to buy new cartridges.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS OVER PRICED SHAVER

I’ve had this razor for year now. The trimmer is terrible and hardly trims. The foil head is really bad and doesn’t do good at all shaving your neck does ok on the face though but make sure you have a spare trimmer solely for trimming hair so you can trim off your beard hair before you can used your foil head which won’t do great and at that point should just clean shave with a razor.

Best electric shaver! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've avoided electric razors for years because they never shaved close enough and left a rash on my sensitive skin. I'm so glad I tried this Braun Series 9 9370cc shaver! In under 2 minutes, I now get a close, comfortable shave. It also has a nice sideburn trimmer. The pivoting head works great on the different contours of the face. As an added bonus, it can be used in the shower. You can rinse it under water to clean, or you can use the convenient built in cleaning and charging station. I am very pleased with this shaver and highly recommend trying it!
