I bought one of this series 9 pro (9487cc), four year ago! However Recently I had problems, with the switch button! It broke Down itself!

Do NOT buy - Braun is slipping

I've had Braun shavers for the last 30 years or so. Replaced my old Braun a few months ago with latest Series 9. My first impression was that is was no real improvement. But that's not the worst part... the base charging/cleaning unit started malfunction a couple months after I purchased and getting it fixed or replaced has proven to be virtually impossible. I expected more from Braun.

Almost there

So this is my first Braun razor. I upgraded from a rotary Norelco that I had for about 15 years. I love how this razor performs on the face (upper lip, chin, cheeks). The neck shave does produce some irritation, even with an aloe based shave gel. It takes multiple angles and passes to get the neck hair fully shaved.
I would recommend this to a friend!

While we do have safety checks in place, irritation is typically a result of going over the same area over and over again. Also, since this shaver has a cleaning station, we do not recommend using a shave gel, as it could block the drain. The cleaning solution will help lubricate the blade. I bought the series 9, But the Series 7 was better

Not impressed. I've had the series 9 for about 4 months now..I paid a lot for my series 7 over 8 years ago and it has been great.. but the trimmer part broke finally, and once I changed the blade set. it was never the same.
So I decided I was due for an upgrade. So I purchased the series 9.. not impressed.. the trimmer doesn't trim well enough, and using it is difficult because the way it is designed, you hardly can see what you are doing. then there is the fancy blade head set.. maybe over engineered.But I find that initially it seems like it's working well. then later I find long irritating beard hairs that the shaver missed.. I guess if you literally shaved every day maybe twice a day. it wouldn't be an issue.. but i will generally go 2-3 days. Maybe the razor blade head set is over engineered or something. but if you have any beard hair or stubs any longer than 1/8 in, the razor rolls over it laying it down. not lifting and trimming it. In General..it takes a lot more effort to shave well with the series 9 than it did with my series 7. I like quality, which is why i bought a braun.. but i am now rethinking my product purchase

can't turn off travel lock. expensive paper weight

My S9 shaver is in permanent travel lock mode and is unusable. Attempts to unlock it only work for a few seconds. Fully draining the battery and recharging allows for one shave, after which the travel lock mode self-reactivates permanently again. Since, it's more than two years old, it's not under warranty. I've read online that other people have reported the same issue. I'm disappointed by the shaver's software issues and the experience since this is a premium model (9385cc - production code 9198). I certainly don't recommend this model or brand.

Good shave on face but hair on neck is not removed easily. Must go over areas where hair is difficult to remove numerous times.

Purchased this razor in January of 2024. It broke in less than 1 year of use. I have been using Braun for many years. I am not hard on razors and take meticulous care or my razors. My last Braun lasted me several years. I decided to upgrade since I like the Braun brand. This razor was expensive but I thought it would be worth the extra money since I had good experiences with Braun razors. It was not worth it.
While shaving, it became unbearably loud. I popped the head off and a piece went flying across the bathroom. I found a tiny metal pin. After inspection, a small plastic piece that held the pin had broken off. It was a piece from the razor so replacing the head will not solve the problem. JUNK! I will never buy another Braun.
So, I am looking for a new razor and it will not be a Braun.
Do not buy this razor. It is not worth the expensive price.

Old S7 is better

Like other reviews stated, this model is a dud. My old S7 shaves closer. Granted this feels smoother on the face but they got too fancy with the new larger head and sacrificed closeness for comfort. Going to return it.
