I bought the series 9, But the Series 7 was better

Not impressed. I've had the series 9 for about 4 months now..I paid a lot for my series 7 over 8 years ago and it has been great.. but the trimmer part broke finally, and once I changed the blade set. it was never the same. So I decided I was due for an upgrade. So I purchased the series 9.. not impressed.. the trimmer doesn't trim well enough, and using it is difficult because the way it is designed, you hardly can see what you are doing. then there is the fancy blade head set.. maybe over engineered.But I find that initially it seems like it's working well. then later I find long irritating beard hairs that the shaver missed.. I guess if you literally shaved every day maybe twice a day. it wouldn't be an issue.. but i will generally go 2-3 days. Maybe the razor blade head set is over engineered or something. but if you have any beard hair or stubs any longer than 1/8 in, the razor rolls over it laying it down. not lifting and trimming it. In General..it takes a lot more effort to shave well with the series 9 than it did with my series 7. I like quality, which is why i bought a braun.. but i am now rethinking my product purchase

can't turn off travel lock. expensive paper weight

My S9 shaver is in permanent travel lock mode and is unusable. Attempts to unlock it only work for a few seconds. Fully draining the battery and recharging allows for one shave, after which the travel lock mode self-reactivates permanently again. Since, it's more than two years old, it's not under warranty. I've read online that other people have reported the same issue. I'm disappointed by the shaver's software issues and the experience since this is a premium model (9385cc - production code 9198). I certainly don't recommend this model or brand.

Just got it but absolutely love it!

So I've only used it twice both times in the shower. One was just on wet skin and it did a good job. The second time I used shaving gel and it's the closest most comfortable shave I' ever gotten period!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great razor, horrible self cleaning

I purchased this razor on July 9th, 2021, today is August 8th, 2021. The red light came on telling me the cleaning solution tray needs to be changed out. Why does Braun claim the cleaning tray last 2 months, when I’m being told by the actual device that it only last 1 month ?
It’s nearly impossible to legally purchase the cleaning cartridges in the United States (Hawaii) where I live. Buying from the internet isn’t possible due to shipping restrictions.

On average, our Cleaning Cartridges do last around 2 months on average, so we're sorry that yours lasted for a month. It may be possible that the drain in your station is clogged and or humidity is causing the solution to evaporate. I stated with 5 then went to 7 (5 total) now 9 (3 total) Grip Shave Power indicator all better. I do not know why but on old 5 manual stated shave in small CW CCW strokes and even now with the advance 9 foil (cassette) the 9 gives me a baby face smooth shave with 0 irritaion or pull. Everything is just better with my 3 series 9s

Looked forward to buying a Braun series 9 razor. Must be the Cadillac of electric razors. Boy was I wrong. From day one this razor did not shave as well as my old Norelco. Doesn't give a close shave and beard clippings fall out on your shirt as you shave.

While it may take several weeks for your skin to adjust to a new shaver, which can impact the quality of your shave, please keep in mind that the thickness of your beard as well as the frequency of cleaning the shaver head are a couple factors that could contribute to this happening. We recommend cleaning the foil/cutter after each shave. Doing this may help remove more hairs, especially when shaving against the grain, and help prevent hairs from falling out.
