I've been using norelco shavers exclusively for many years but decided to try a Series 9 Pro. What a pleasant surprise! In the month I've been using it I have consistently gotten closer shaves with the Braun. I have now retired my collection of tired Norelco shavers. While on the expensive side, it's well worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Shaver Head Is Too Large for Accurate Shaving

I've been using Braun/Eltron shavers since the 1980's, but in the last several years Braun went to much larger shaving heads which makes it difficult to shave/shave around if you have a beard, goatee, mustache, etc. Plus, the trimmer cutter isn't as good as they used to be either. Hey Braun, here's an idea for you, introduce a classic version like the old 8595 or 7680...you'd sell a boat loa of them.

FAILURE

Buyer beware, the head on them broke on the corner and in a hurry grabbed it not seeing it and sliced my face up with just one pass requiring stitches so by a different brand or use a regular razor but stay away from Braun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not worth the price

Honestly this product was extremely disappointing. I have been using it for two months and thought that things would get better over time, but they have not. It takes me over an hour to shave with this. It misses hairs like crazy. I need to go over the same area dozens of times to get all hairs. I have tried going in different directions, stretching the skin while shaving, doing it immediately after showering… nothing helps. The shaver also leaves hundreds of micro cuts on my face as well. The price absolutely does not justify this product. I wanted to love this product, but I can’t. I have reverted back to using my Phillips Norelco One Blade which shaves far better and quicker.

We do value feedback such as this, and we'll be passing your comments along. It may be helpful to know that it can take up to 3 weeks for your skin to adjust to a new shaver. As well, if you’ve had this shaver for a while, it's important to replace the foil and cutterblock at least every 18 months. To make sure that you get the best possible shave, try holding the shaver at a 90 degree angle, and stretch the skin while shaving against hair growth. Worst shaver I've ever used.

This shaver is a disappointment especially for the price. I can shave in less than half the time with a regular hand shaver and it is clean with no beard remaining. I tried it with different methods and feels like I haven't shaved. Tried wet, dry, pulling skin, different directions and it takes a long time and with poor results.

We're so sorry to hear that its taking longer than you were anticipating to get smooth results, but be assured this is very unusual especially since you stretched the skin tight and shaved against the grain of the hair. If you have not done so already, we do also recommend trimming the very long facial hairs before shaving, since the cutting elements would be able to capture more hair this way. Totally Disappointed

I bought a series 9 Braun shaver and couldn’t be more disappointed in it. Have always had rotary shavers but decided to try the Braun. One of the worst shavers I’ve owned. Sitting in a drawer collecting dust as I went back to my rotary.

Switch back to electric

3rd time I switched back to an electric razor. This razor is so much better than the other razors tried. I'm not going back to manual shaving
