Life Changing Shave

I’ve used straight razors and shaving cream my whole life. Im usually really sensitive on my neck area and prone to razor burn. I gave the Braun Series 9 a try and let me you tell you it is a complete game changer. I use letric shave right out of the shower then use the series 9 and I’ve never experienced a closer shave. I will never ever go back to a straight razor and will only ever use this going forward. The self cleaning station is amazing too, it makes it so easy and ready to go for the next time. I use this product everyday and I rarely get razor burn when I used to get it all the time. This product blew me away. Must buy.

I'm sorry I waited so long.

My face doesn't like electric razors because they tend to leave behind a trail of unclipped hairs and razor burn. As a result, I hadn't touched an electric in about three decades. But there was something about the rhapsodic reviews of the Braun Series 9 Pro that gave me renewed optimism. So I swallowed hard, whipped out my credit card, and took the plunge. The bottom line is that I was absolutely dazzled by the closeness of the shave without a trace of discomfort. My only regret is that I didn't discover this little miracle machine sooner.

I have owned my 9477 Pro for a few weeks now, and have been consistently pleased. This is my first electric shaver in at least 20 years. My previous two experiences ended in immediate disenchantment with closeness and cleanup. I returned to giving an electric another try when my work situation changed from full time teleworking to 80% teleworking. My commute forces me to wake up in the wee hours of the morning -- meaning I either shave super early or the night before.
The Braun is quicker than the blade. If in a rush, the Braun does an adequate job. When being meticulous, it would be difficult to differentiate between the Braun and the blade. The Braun is still quicker, and I don't have to worry for the accidental nick and bleed.
Another feature I didn't think too much about but has come to my attention is its quietness. I'm not waking up the dog or my wife at 3 AM. All of my shaves have been with 5-9 days of growth.
It is easy to brush clean. The power clean is a bit noisier, but does its job beautifully. I run that in the afternoon on the days I shave after I have come home from work, and only if necessary.
The initial charging was very quick. I did a recharge recently to get it back to full strength, but it was far from necessary. Battery life with respect to holding a charge is superb.
Obviously, I haven't owned it long enough to comment on the longevity of the battery or the shaver. I will say it feels solidly made.
If pressed to find something that needs improvement, I would say one thing for sure and maybe something else -- neither of which worthy of dropping a star in rating (4.8 if rating to the nearest tenth out of 5). I do find hitting the power button while shaving a little too easy to do. I can be buzzing along, and then off it goes. It's no big deal to simply turn it back on. I find my precautionary grip to avoid the on-off button ergonomically less desirable.
Shaving close to my nostrils are a bit of a challenge. I hesitate to complain about it because solving that might have a worse trade-off. Between using the sideburn feature and being able to lock the shaving head makes the upper lip thing near my nose a near-non-issue.
Finally, I happen to like the looks of the shaver although I realize that's personal taste.

I have purchased 3 Braun shavers in the past hoping that the promise of getting a close shave on the neck, stray hairs, would finally come true. If I use the Braun 9 series, WET or DRY, it still does a mediocre job on the neck. Have to use a conventional razor blade to finish the job.

Horrible Razor

Braun has replaced the razor still when shaving can't get close shave and leaves hair all over sink this is junk don't waste your money.

Broke after a week.

Bought this shaver a week ago and it stopped working. Braun told me I could take to the service which would be a 5 hour trip. Now I have to mail it to them to see if it can be fixed. if it can't they will replace it.

Do not waste your time buying this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Series 9 9370cc electric shaver did not work on my face. I tried everything and it wouldn't cut hair. The trimmer did exactly what it was supposed to and slid up the razor for a nice clean trim. It has a self cleaning unit which is great. It has a container with cleaning solution that you can run after shaving. It looks awesome, beautifully designed but it literally doesn't cut hair.
