We love our new Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven. We love the flexibility and ease of use. In fact, my husband has taken over much of the cooking that requires oven cooking! I love that it is so easy to use, that he enjoys experimenting with different meats and fishes. I enjoy using it, and watching him use it!

Excellent appliance, air fryer has two shortcoming

I really like this appliance, unlike many other "combination" devices, this one actually does a very good job on all functions. The Toaster function provides the most even toasting of any toaster I have ever owned. The Air Fryer has a couple of shortcomings, though.
First - it is difficult to know what temperature to set and how long to cook any given food item - and the guidelines in the manual tend to produce overcooked food for me. So it is necessary to keep an eye on the food pretty continuously while air frying - which means opening the door and pulling out the tray frequently - which probably doesn't help the cooking.
Second - The mesh tray used for cooking tends to retain food after cooking. Even when having sprayed oil on the mesh tray before placing the food on it, the food still sticks to the mesh. And the mesh, with food sticking to all sides of the wire mesh, is not easy to wash. I don't know whether the mesh tray has a non-stick coating or not, but it could sure use more non-stickiness.

It scorches the food. Inconsistent directions between recipes (use foil) and general info (don’t use foil). Hotter in rear of oven than in front.

Love it! Especially for reheating leftovers. The air fryer can make home delivery restaurant food taste like fresh! But also for quicker roasting of meat and veggies without heating the big oven. For the two of us, I see this as the go-to for most meals. It’s a bit slow for making “toast”, which dries it out more than a toaster - so only 4 stars. We are impressed and it’s worthy of the counter space.

Love it. But it heats really hot! My first
time baking a pizza came out black. The next time we made bacon which came out black too. Tossed both out. We’ve learned to lower the temp and shorten the time. And watch more closely. We like the unit but it takes time to figure out the settings! I would buy again!
