I really wanted to love this. We used our old toaster all the time. To bake stuff and for toast. The temperature on the old machine is equivalent to our oven. If the recipe said 425, we would set it for 425. The air fryer that we bought runs so hot that if I set it at the temperature given in a recipe it will burn within minutes. So, I find I have to adjust all the temperatures down by at least 100 degrees and even then I have to continually monitor the items. This is true for air frying and for baking. If my husband hadn't thrown away the box I would have returned the item. It is so bad I wonder if we got a dud, or if they are all like that.

I returned for exchange my first TOA-69 Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven because it would not hold consistent temperatures. Always 50 degrees hotter. Received the exchange and the same thing. Returning this one too. Very disapoointed.

I bought this product about 2 months ago because I had the Cuisinart Toaster Oven which I liked but this one had the air fryer feature which I thought would be good. This oven heats the food up very fast which doesn't take much longer than a microwave. The only problem is you can't use the temperature & time that is called for in the cooking directions because if you do the food will burn. I'm concerned that the food isn't cooked to the right temperature; like a chicken pot pie calls for being in the oven for 50 minutes yet when I made it in this oven it was ready to burn after 25 minutes & I had the temperature lowered. Also it doesn't have even heating; things will burn in spots, especially using the air fryer feature.

I purchased the Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven, model # TOA-60 in December of 2018. My local stores did not have the unit in stock to preview and I ordered it via online. A goal of mine was to have ease of cleaning and maintenance (dishwasher safe), which I thought this unit had as nothing in the description mentioned exclusion of using the dishwasher. I only found this out after reading page 7 of the Instruction and Operations booklet. It states, "Oven Rack, Baking Pan, AirFryer Basket and Crumb Tray should be hand-washed in hot, sudsy water or use a nylon scouring pad or nylon brush. They are NOT dishwasher safe." Other leading AirFryers have racks and pans that are dishwasher safe. I would ask that Cuisinart redesign those non-dishwasher components and issue free replacements to verified purchase customers.

I would not suggest buying this machine. This is my third one. They all burn things but do not cook the center. The only thing I can do is toast bread. I think it is a very inferior machine or very defective. No matter what I use to try and cook something it continually burns the top and the bottom before they can rise or be cooked on the inside. And this is with lowering the temperature 100 t 200 degrees below recommended temperature.

We purchased an Air Fryer, followed recipes, started slowly with sweet potato fries and after 3-4 tries, the burn each time. I've tried lowering the heat, changing the position of the rack, nothing works. Can you offer some help?
