I am disappointed in the air fryer setting. Food gets done too quickly, almost burned, on the outsides and not cooked on the insides. You have to watch very carefully b/c food gets done a lot faster than the recipes say on air fry. Toaster worked OK. I can't find many recipes for the Cuisinart. Most of them are for air fryers with a drawer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does make frying a lot more convenient.You do not have to use up a lot of oil and clean a counter mess. Disposing extra oil is not even a problem anymore too. Broiling function is ok. The steak ended up harder than when you grill it. The toast function works just like any other toaster. I just have not tried baking anything in it yet, so I cannot review that function just yet.

We were given this as a present and thought, ‘It’s big. Where are we going to put it and what are we going to do with it?’ Our opinions changed after the first time we used it to heat up leftovers. We’ve been cooking and reheating almost everything with it since then. It heats things fast,it gets your food hot, it cooks evenly, and on and on. This thing actually works very well. It’s convenient, easy to clean, and works right. Leftovers taste like you just got them at the restaurant. No more ‘mushy’ microwave food anymore. Reheats pizza, seafood, fries, and everything else perfectly. And there are several settings like broil, toast and bake. It also has a temperature setting and a timer. We now only use the oven for larger items and our microwave is almost never needed. Highly recommended!

My son purchased a small air fryer and raved about how good the chicken was, so figured my fried-chicken-loving-husband would like it, too. I bought it for a Christmas gift for him, but since we were hosting Thanksgiving and I needed some additional baking space, we decided we needed to open it early and start using it. I cleared the counter area and after a quick wash of parts, loaded it up with chicken wings. They were very tasty! The next thing we cooked was the sweet potatoes for thanksgiving. They cooked much faster than I anticipated and came out as good as any sweet potato dish I’d baked. we have made french fries (fresh & frozen) and air fried whole chicken pieces. Everything tastes delicious.
I was hoping to not have to turn the chicken to get it crisp on the bottom, but to get it crispy all around, you need to turn the food about 3/4 of the way to done.
I love that this oven has much more room that the smaller fryers. I love that you can see the food cooking to make adjustments, like turning/rotating the tray/basket.
I like that I can use this as a small oven so I don’t have to heat up my whole kitchen with the big oven for a few small items.
I really like this air fryer oven!

I did not jump on the air fryer bandwagon years ago and was hesitant to do so now. However, the other features, toasting, baking etc., swayed my decision since I did need a new toaster. I don’t know how long this item has been available but I wish I had it from day 1. It heats, bakes, toasts quickly, evenly and most importantly tastefully. I can make chicken so moist it is still moist the next day after being reheated in the microwave. Tater tots take only minutes to become golden brown and crispy. This fryer/oven is without a doubt the most used and loved appliance in my kitchen.
