This is a new model with great improvements. It is much lighter. The pedestal attachment has been eliminated. I’ve only used it a few times but seems much easier to use.

While I have plenty of Cuisinart pans, pots and utensils, what made me get this processor? Cooks Country recommend it. I use it all the time. It’s smooth and has good power to grate cheese. Good stuff!

Meets my needs perfectly- not too complicated to operate or to store. I purchased another brand earlier and after seeing all the parts ( and especially those that didn’t work) I returned it and exchanged for this cuisinart. Perfect. But be careful - blades are sharp! I’ve already christened mine with a few drops of blood.
