We had a Krups 12 cup processor that was very heavy, awkward and had a lot of parts. It was hard to set up and a pain to clean. This smaller 8 cup version is WAY better all around. The arts are much easier to assemble and clean. The processing works very well. It processes easily and is a breeze to clean up. It is very light weight making it easy to store and pull out for most any need. Good design.

Bought this to take place of 12 cup I've had since 1984 (which still works!) I like the smaller size and the wider feed tube. Have concern that the spindle feels unstable and may easily damaged

CON: When shredding carrots I had a few chunks fall into to bowl where the shredded carrots were and I had to pull them out.
