The eight cup is just perfect for this family of the senior citizens. No leftovers with the proportions I can serve up. I started slicing potatoes today for scolloped potatoes and then thought of my new helper. The speed was amazing. Old way is over for this gal.

Assembly is much easier than previous model...only drawback is it’s 8 cups as opposed to the 11 cup food processor we previously owned, also a Cuisinart. It broke when we were trying to REassemble it. That was challenging. This one is easy and does what a food processor is supposed to do-albeit loudly.

I had trouble chopping onions on the processor: they don't circulate around causing having to over process them which render them puree. It performed pretty well making dough. I haven't used the shredding blades yet.

I have owned two previous Cuisinart food processors, both were DLC7 PRO, or something like that! I was expecting a little more power from the 8-cup Elemental. The blades are flimsy and do not 'chop'; just seems to want to puree everything even with the pulse feature.
