This food processor is a great size for a smaller kitchen, I cook mostly small meals for myself and maybe one or two additional people, and this 8-cup processor is perfect for these portion sizes. If you cook for a large group or are regularly making large portions the 8-cup may be too small but I’d say for every-day use it’s appropriate. I’ve been able to make sauces, shred cheese, chop veggies, etc. with ease. The unit is small enough that it doesn’t take up too much space on the counter and it can be easily stored while not in use. Overall very happy with this purchase!

I have been using the same Cuisinart for 25 years. I loved it! But it finally gave out. So I bought a new one. This one is fine, but it is not the workhorse the other one was. It is not as heavy and it cannot handle grating beets and carrots very well. It gets stuck and jams when I am grating hard things. This is disappointing to me since I make a lot of raw salads.

This is my 3rd Cuisinart Food Processor. The 1st one lasted 16 years, the 2nd one lasted 3 years, so I'm hoping this one has a longer life. The one considerable difference is the weight of the processor. This one is so light compared to the older ones, I can't help but wonder why. The other is the change in the design of the blade. I also have a 12 cup KitchenAid model that is just OK.

I gave away my original Cuisinart, missed it so much that I had to buy another one. This food processor is just the right size for one or two people. I worried about the center spindle moving, but saw the same thing on another one, so I assume it is okay.
