This Elemental 8 Cup replaced our 38 year old Cuisinart. Boy, have they made some improvements! I use this one more since it is not cumbersome and so way easier to clean

I’m disappointed. I used my previous model every day; I avoid using this one. I use it mostly to blitz flour and butter for baking. However even on a slow pulse it reduces the mixtures to powder, and adding liquid results in wallpaper paste. I imagine it is useful for purées and so on, but I have yet to find a way to utilize it for my needs.
Is it possible to replace the drum of my older machine? The rim chipped a very slight amount, but enough to prevent a tight enough seal for operating it.
