Dissappointed in what I thought was a trusted bran

I used it was to grind some walnuts for nut rolls. It started to make a horrible noise so I stopped. I found a chunk of a plastic/metal part in the bowl. It was stuck to a blade but it was obviously chopped up. I had to throw out the nuts for fear that small pieces of plastic and metal were ground into my nuts. This was probably the 2nd time I used my brand new food processor. I have not used it again because I can't seem to find what this part is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Definitely 5-Star. I am so into my salads now. I used to dislike having to chop, slice, shred, but my Cuisinart Elemental 8 up Food Processor has made it so fast and easy, it's now a cinch. I am heading toward a healthier life style having this super machine. The blades are totally sharp (be careful), so it does a superb job. I'm a novice, but I'm learning, and I highly recommend this Cuisinart Food Processor.

I like my new food processor except it didn't come with slicer blades like my old Cuisinart Food processor had and I used those more than grater blades. Hope I can get them even if I have to pay extra.

If I was as sharp as this food processor's blades...I would have bought this Cuisinart 8 cup food processor decades ago. This past Thanksgiving, I was making a large batch of fresh cranberry relish but my wimpy old chopper just wasn't, uh, cutting it, which was putting me in a grumpy mood as I ended up having to hand-chop all those whole oranges and cranberries. Then I bought this food processor, and making cranberry relish became fast and easy. I'm using the food processor often now and love it.

Works great, having fun with it, speeds up meals, and not hard to clean. Perfect size for my small kitchen. Does seem to have a design flaw...a little rough spot inside the food pusher shaft. Went to exchange it and every one at the store had the same thing. Not a huge deal since I have a dishwasher, thinking bacteria could get stuck in there otherwise.

Good price, great size for everyday use. Chopper works great for chopping cooked meats, cabbage for slaw if you want it fine chopped, and quick mixing up pie dough. Shredder attachment works great for vegetables and cheeses. Slicer works super great for quick slicing of carrots and celery. Easy to clean and very user friendly. I store the 2 blade discs in a round cookie tin due to safety of sharpness and safe storage. I keep it on my counter for everyday use.
