This recently purchased Cuisinart food processor is MUCH worse than the one I purchased decades ago and finally discarded it because I couldn’t get blade/disc replacement after reading of dangers with them. The old processor worked great and I loved using it. Solid and effective. This recent one is not solid or effective. Sad.

I purchased a different brand food processor about 5 months ago and was highly disappointed. First a chunk of the plunger broke off, but it was still usable. Then the circular blade broke in the middle so it was unusable.
All I shredded with it was carrots and cheese for my salads.
My new cuisinart is so much sturdier! It was a little more expensive, but I guess it’s true, you get what you pay for! The edge that broke on my old machine has a solid lip on my new one (not much chance of breaking now)
It does a great job of shredding, and is much easier to clean. Does not have any really tight spaces that make it hard to clean.
I highly recommend this processor.

I bought this to replace my trusty older model Cuisinart which was truly a workhorse. When using this processor to grate blocks of cheese the shredded cheese piles up on one side of the bowl instead of being evenly dispersed so that I have to empty the bowl more often. Also, cheese gets stuck in the space between the chute and the lip of the lid. I usually use a hand grater now since this is more work and clean up.Really disappointed in this product.

I purchased this after Christmas. Since then, I have pureed fresh fruits to make sorbet and sherbets, made pie dough, pureed vegetables for soup, sliced vegetables for salads and even used it to shred pork and beef for soft taco night. It works great and clean-up is super easy. I am disabled and needed something functional but a bit smaller than my old, original cuisinart and the 8 cup size fits the bill for a one-person home. I have had no problem with anything I have tried to do so far. Very Happy Customer :0)

I'm giving this processor 3 stars. the price of $60.00 was just right for my needs as a single woman, grandma. I only gave 3 stars because I can see it's not the quality of my original Cuisinart that I used when I had a growing family and since has been passed on to my younger sister. That one is still going strong, some 20 yrs later. It remains to be seen how well the newer, less expensive model will do.
