I received this model as a gift. It is so much faster than the much older model I had (different manufacturer). I only wish there was a safe feature to store unused blades. They work very well too.

I have had this for at least a month....My trial with it is the opening to put, say an onion, isn't big enough for a whole onion (same issue with other veggies as well)....cutting it and trying to have it in correctly and hold it in place with the 'stomper' fails for me. the veggie wants to tip sideways and then I have to shut machine off to pull away pieces instead of doing the job nicely. Maybe I am doing something wrong? The part that does manage to go through correctly is nice and appreciated. Sometimes it is easier just to cut by hand, than fight with a machine. But when machine works well it is quicker! If I had known I probably wouldn't have purchased, but maybe if I keep trying I will learn more and it will get better? Maybe there is a video somewhere that shows how to use. The answers below are at this point.....(I had purchased a different brand at an auction....smaller....it only had the s blade but I liked it very well. So I was excited to try one with all the blades as I have recipes for slicing and dicing.)

I had a Cuisinart food processor for over 15 years. It saw a lot of use. As soon as a plastic piece got broken I immediately replaced the food processor with another Cuisinart the next day it is that essential to my kitchen. I love to cook and a good cook needs good tools, that is why I will always have a Cuisinart food processor in my kitchen

I’ve used the Elemental 8 processor several times now, and it is a pleasure to use. It prepares the ingredients just the way I expect great results to be. And this food processor is very easy to clean...even easier than I anticipated. I have every expectation that the Elemental 8 will give me great results with my future recipes.
