This is a good machine but I found out that it works best with making small batches. I tried to mix a double batch of dough in it (4 cups flour) and it did not work. It kept mixing the stuff on the bottom but would not incorporate what was on top. It worked fine for a single batch. I guess I was expecting it to work as well as my old 8 cup Cuisinart Classic that I had for over 20 years that I gave up in a divorce. I think the new one just is not as powerful as the old one was so I just have to adjust to doing small batches with it. As far as shredding vegetables and cheese and making salsa it did just as good as my old machine. I almost wish that I had spent more and got the better one but this does do the job it was designed for.

Excited about my new food processor. Got it home and unpacked it. Mixed all the dry ingredients to make pizza dough in the bowl. Hit the start button and nothing! Didn’t work! Never tested at factory! Bad sign! Washed bowl and packed back up. Drove another 20 miles back to store for refund. Drove home and made pizza dough by hand as Inhave for the last 30 years.

I returned the item because of poor quality control. When the bowl was locked in position, the lid could not be closed. When the lid was closed the bowl couldn't be attached to the motor.

I had a Cuisinart food processor for approx. 20 years - loved it for slicing/dicing and bread dough. Biggest drawback was its weight! So, when needed a new one I was reluctant to buy another heavy appliance. What a surprise this food processor is so light weight. It is fast and sharp and an easy cleanup!

Once I figured out that the bowl needed to click in place, not just be centered in the front, the lid easily clicked into place. The bowl had appeared to be in proper position and I was having to force the lid very hard to lock it in place; I even watched the video online and then called the Cuisinart hotline to make sure I was doing it right because it appeared I could break it since I was pushing the lid so hard. I was nearly ready to return it because I did not want something that hard to push into place when I accidentally moved the bowl farther. Now it works like a dream and I love it!
