We had to replace our 40+ year old Sears food processor. It worked perfectly all that time. It had two blades. One blunt plastic and one sharp steel. We wish the new Cuisinart had also included a less sharp blade. The slicers do not seem very useful yet. The blender seems to work well.

I haven’t had a cuisenart sonce my grandmother’s died 10 yrs ago. That baby worked hard some 30 yrs. This one wont do that, i can tell. But that’s true with everything these days. It seems good enough. Not a 5 star but it IS good enuf.

I broke the bowl on my old food processor, and it was almost cheaper to buy an entire new one then replace the bowl. However, the old one was much easier to use, sturdier, and had a better 'feel' to it. It will take some getting used to this new, lighter version.
