This is a great business machine that works equally well on the home front too. The very fast 8th generation i7 processor was well worth the extra money and the standard DDRAM works just fine (RAM is 8 GB, but is more than sufficient to run Microsoft Word, Excel and my Sibelius music software program). The picture is very clear, and is non-glare as promised and has no problems playing back high resolution videos. Boot-up time is around 12 seconds and rebooting is well under half a minute. Excellent performance overall, I'm deeply impressed! One snag: the touchscreen is not a Wacom digital type one. Capacitive pens work best, and I'm using a hybrid one (not from Lenovo). Perks: great sound, great webcam (sound and picture quality) and overall is very responsive and remains cool. I can get all-day performance too: up to 12 hours of light use, and 6 to 7 hours if I'm using heavy programs like Zoom. Oh, and the keyboard? No comparison at all, as this is the best of the best on the market, hands down! This T490S is perfect for business and a joy to use at home too. Very much recommended!

Owned a Thinkpad when it was originally IBM so decided to buy another one when I needed a new computer. I am quite happy with how fast it processes and how lightweight it is. I am definitely happy with this purchase so far.
