Vents on the right heats up mouse hand. Computer in general can heat up quicker than expected. Thinner and lighter than expected. Beautiful keyboard, backlight can use some work as the top line is a bit bright at night compared to the rest of the pad.
So far so good. Lightening fast and super responsive. Beautiful and comfortable keyboard. Light as a feather. I wish the camera was a *little* better, the screen seems a bit dimmer than I expected, and the speakers are nothing special. But these points are small compared to the superior quality of the overall unit, and it feels really solid and durable. I could have paid more and had better on these components, which in the end are not as important to me in the long run. My previous laptop (Toshiba) lasted me for nearly 13 years so making the change to a new computer was a massive shift. I'm absolutely delighted so far.
The laptop is light and very portable, with some wonderful add-ons like a fingerprint reader and a hefty number of ports that makes it easily connected to devices.
My only concern and why I took off 1 star, is that the Lenovo update center didn't automatically update the laptop, and there were many firmware issues upon initial setup. - when connecting the power plug - when entering sleep mode etc.
Make sure to go to the lenovo software and update, you will have to check a few times before they are all completed, including a majore firmware update.
My 5th sequential Lenovo. Just as solid as the last four.

First impressions not great due to hardware issues

Laptop started freezing under light load 1 week after I started using it. Only hard reset would work. Then it froze during a windows update, and became impossible to recover. Sent in under warranty. Whole reason I bought Lenovo was that I expected quality control to be a little better, but now I am out of a computer for an indeterminate length of time. Took one week just to get the RMA box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
