Good Power, but a bit noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased new about a month ago for the peaks in our summer season. Cools well enough to handle two large rooms with the doors open when necessary. Much louder than I expected though, and it has taken time to adjust to sleeping around it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how compact it is - I live in an old apartment building with narrow windows, so this unit was great. It has worked well for me when I run it on "cool". When I use the "econo" feature, it doesn't seem to effectively regulate. The thermostat on the remote and the temperature outside both far exceed the desired temperature, yet the unit shuts down and continues to run minimally. (i.e. it's over 80 outside, 79 inside, and the unit is set to 70).
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Fridgidaire FFRE1233S1 was the one to go with. Cools a very large room well.

Doing the job of a 15,000 btu unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 912-ish square foot 2 bedroom ranch. In 6-2017 I purchased this for the primary purpose of conditioning the living room and kitchen aprox 510 sq ft. The unit is installed in the kitchen and even on a 90+ degree day it keeps the kitchen and living room comfortable and the rest of the house is tolerable. Even under these conditions the unit would still cycle and not run continuous. I use all Frigidaire air conditioners and the 6,000 btu in the bedroom takes up the slack . The unit might be a little loud but that is why they are called window shakers, and I find the volume quite acceptable. The remote sensing feature is great, it allows me to have the remote in the living room pointed at the unit to insure that I achieve my desired temperature in that space. This year I purchased the 2018 12,000 btu model FFRE1233U1 to replace this in the house. I have moved this unit (FFRE1233S1) to a room above my garage aprox 576 sq ft. to replace an older Frigidaire 8,000 btu unit that I have moved to my bedroom. In this open space it is performing excellent, perhaps running a little long to initially cool the space, but by the book it is undersized so that is expected and much better than the 8,000 btu unit I had. Two reasons that I choose the 12,000 btu rather than a larger 15,000 btu which would be better for my applications...
First; The amp draw would put the circuit close the breaker limit.
Second; I set the requirement of weight that I have to be able to install/remove and carry up and down stairs alone. The 15,000 btu unit weighs in over 110 lbs and the 12,000 is around 75.
If this lasts me as long as my 6 and 8,000 btu units which are 6 years old and still running strong I will be very happy.
