Pretty decent

Thermostat seems off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace an old window unit, but I think the thermostat/temperature sensing apparatus is off slightly. When we set it to "auto cool" to save energy it almost never cycles on. Frustrating since we'd prefer to use it in this way vs. have it on all the time. Not a terrible unit but would prefer to have bought something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

EFMM, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. In energy saver (econ) mode the fan should come on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals (“tasting” the air) until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. Is this happening? If your air conditioner remote has the sensing feature, please make sure that there are no obstructions between the remote and the air conditioner, and make sure the remote is placed within 20 feet and 120 degrees radius of the front of the air conditioner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little ac unit works well, runs quietly, and is energy efficient. It did stop cooling after 2 years, but Frigidaire customer service were great to work with and they replaced it. New one working great.
