New window AC unit

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has worked very well so far. Makes a pretty concerning noise whenever it shuts off that lasts about 1 second. Not sure if that noise indicates some sort of future problem or not, for the time being I am not too concerned. The actually AC works well though and I appreciate its features + having a remote for it.

Dead after three weeks of use! Poor quality control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My unit worked fantastically for three weeks, and then I noticed the compressor had stopped running. I had the unit on for half an hour but the compressor would no longer engage. I wound up taking it out and putting my OLD Frigidaire from 2004 back in the window! When I took it out, I noticed that the entire basepan was rusted inside the unit, and that one of the copper tubings on the outdoor condenser had completely rusted through. Completely unacceptable after just three weeks of use.

DISAPPOINTED

This is my 2nd season with this unit. I take it out of the window and store it in my garage in the off season. From day one it did not keep my room at the temp I set it at. Now it has condensation in the temp screen and the buttons do not respond also it will not respond to the remote...... soooooo it is stuck on one temp and i have to unplug it to turn it off!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
