Love my Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous set was very old. At least 20 years. This new washing machine has so many options. I couldn't believe how big the drum was. I can usually fit two full loads in there compared to my previous washer. I love the 'clean the machine' option too.

I am very pleased with how many options for different cycles that it has depending on the type of clothing you are washing. I also like how it conserves water and only uses the absolute necessary amount. The only thing I do wish it had was a buzzer to alert you when the cycle is done, other than that I am glad I purchased it. I'm not sure if any washer have that feature.

The repair man has come twice to fix it and I wait 2 - 3 weeks for him to get here and when he fixes it, it last for about 3 days. Now waiting for parts for weeks and him to come repair it. Very very frustrating after saving up for it and haven’t been able to use it hardly. I wish someone would get back to me with a rebate or something for all this frustration with a brand new washer

I have the model with the auger and it cleans the clothes and work clothes perfectly. I have also used it for quilts.

Not as good as an OG Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My beloved OG Whirlpool washer gave up the ghost. What I thought was going to be a minor repair turned into a major expense as I had to buy a new washer. I guess after 20 years I should be happy, but the replacement leaves me missing my old Whirlpool. While the basket is extremely deep in this new Whirlpool, (I’m only 5 foot, so reaching into the bottom is like diving into a swimming pool), The entire washing process leaves a lot to be desired. When you turn the washer on, the water seems to disappear and I don’t like the idea of putting clothes on top of powdered detergent. Even though the washer has a “deep water” level, it’s impossible to determine how much water that actually is. I’m really not looking forward to my next water bill.
I don’t get the impression that the clothes are coming out clean so I’ve had to run the second rinse to make sure all the soap is out.
The fact that the washer starts to agitate before the clothes are even wet is concerning, especially where delicates are involved. It also seems to be impossible to switch between cycles once the washer has started. I made the mistake of leaving the washer on “regular” and when I went to adjust it to the delicate cycle, nothing happened - the washer continued to rotate the drum. I ended up having to cancel the program, have the washer drain, and then restart. With my old washer, all I had to do was turn the dial and it adjusted immediately to the new cycle. This new Whirlpool seems to be nothing more than a top load version of a front load washer. If I had wanted a front load washer I would’ve bought one.

Not liking this machine
