Perfect size, Numerous settings, cleans well

Low Water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate saving water but this uses very little water. Since adding soap to dry clothes can sometimes create a stain, I have started filling a pot of water and adding soap to that and pouring it into the washer. The tub is huge so bedspreads etc. can be washed. It looks like it has an agitator but actually unless you have a very large load, you are only getting impeller action.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice machine. Replaced a GE Profile HE machine that was about 12 yrs old. The new Whirlpool is made like something from the 70's. Much better finish (white enamel vs. silver paint) . Seems to be a thicker gauge material and the traditional design agitator doesnt twist clothes into a rope like the GE's top load no agitator design did. My wife loves this new Whirlpool for this reason alone. It does make washing machine sounds, but is not any louder than any other machine we have owned. Has a built in self clean feature. The old GE developed wash machine "odors", a stale old detergent smell that we had trouble easily managing. No signs of that with the new Whirlpool, even after 6 months of use. Highly recommend Whirlpool and this model.

OK, but a few things that I don’t like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My former washer could be turned on with the lid open while the water was going in. I liked adding my detergent then instead of on my dry clothes, and then rinsing the cup clean that the detergent was in. Also my new washer spins so hard that my clothes are compressed with wrinkles and even though I shake them when I add them to the dryer, the wrinkles are somewhat still there. Over aggressive spin cycle!

Doesn't clean clothes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we are not happy with our washer. Clothes don't come clean. Leaves stains on most everything even with using good stain removers and oxy clean powder. Very disappointed in the performance.
