[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this pellet grill and have mainly just used it as a smoker. It definitely weights a ton and has a large cooking chamber. I like that it has the 3 racks and how easy they are to adjust. It’s really easy to use. It does a preheat and then you select what temp you want- It has a knob with temps on it. The fire pot is easy to clean because it has a removable cap that collects all the ash so you don’t need a shop vacuum or anything. The caster wheels on this thing a made out of metal which makes them strong but that does also make them slightly less smooth then other casters. The shutdown is really easy to, you just turn it into a shutdown mode and it automatically powers off. I really like the adjustability of smoking or bbqing on it, I like the heavy duty build on it and I like the ease of cleaning the fire pot. I definitely recommend any looking for a universal smoker/ bbq.

Not what I was hoping for

I bought a Rider DLX last week. I was really excited because I've been wanting a pellet grill for a really long time now. At first glance I thought it was awesome. Large cooking area with serious searing capability at a very reasonable price. The build went well and was pretty straightforward. I was excited to start the burn in process only to receive an error right off the bat. Tried to call Oklahoma Joe's and they were closed since it was a weekend. What a real bummer. Anyway, I looked around and discovered one of the fan wires wasn't in the connector. I got the thing up and running only to discover it keeps tripping the outlet. I literally could not get through the first cook. I decided to troubleshoot and noticed ashes all over the food I attempted to cook and the temperature does not stay consistent at all. I think I almost had a hopper fire, as smoke was coming up no through the hopper. I'm sure I received a lemon, but after operating this grill, I've noticed more subtle design features that are lacking on this model and decided to return it.

I have owned 4 smokers in the past 5 years. I know smokers. This is a great smoker. Great price, unbelievable support from friendly customer service representatives who help me with all my questions. I actually call them before my purchase. They were amazing and I am so happy with my new smoker.

Wonderful Product

I bought this about three weeks ago and I can't give it enough praise I have had some grills before in my time but this pellet grill is out of this world it gives an even cook as well even smoky flavor when it smokes. The clean-up is so easy and simple I am very pleased with this grill.

I bought this a month ago and have used it several times, so far I love it. I have not had any issues. I love the buckets, and the pellet dump. I also love the sear, I have used this searing twice, once with steaks and once with pork chops.

I purchased this grill last fall And since then have I've turned pork bellies into bacon cooked many burgers pork chops steaks pork roasts. This thing smokes this thing Sears I have had no problems with it whatsoever and I love my grill.

Bought it new from my local sports store and have cooked over 200 pounds of mostly meat. I have owned three Joe’s and this is by far the most impressive.
