Not good for smoothies

Bought the k150 3 speed in Oct of 2020. Very disappointed in its ability to make a smoothie. EVENTUALLY it gets the job done but I have to stop the blender no less than four times to keep tamping down the ingredients, as blades create a well, which stops the mixing action. I even followed directions in terms of the order in which you layer ingredients (liquid, then soft, then hard/frozen). Big disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I make smoothies a lot for my daughter and I, this thing makes it a quick and easy process! I also love that it has a soft start so that it doesn’t splatter everywhere. Easy to clean and stores nicely in my cabinet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I purchased this blender I had done some research and knew I was getting top quality. I just love it for blending soup du jours. My kids love using the ice feature for making so cones. They'll even crush ice and spoon the snow straight into their mouths just for the texture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is amazing for the price point. So far it can handle just about anything I throw at it. The only downside is if you want super fine ice it does an ok job but still leaves chunks. Overall I use this almost daily for smoothies and shakes and I coundn't ask for a better blender for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender features an optimally-designed ice-crush setting, or you can choose from one of the 3 speed options. It crushes ice and frozen fruit very quickly. The base is sturdy. It is simple to use; both my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter enjoy making smoothies after they come home from school.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this blender to have to make smoothies for me as a snack or in the mornings. It does an excellent job with ice and frozen berries, getting them smooth and drinkable. The base was a bit bigger than I was expecting, but that shouldn't hold a prospective buyer back. The base grips to the counter very well and doesn't have issues trying to move away like some other units can. The pitcher with the blade and the lid all come off very easily and are a breeze to clean. We have other KitchenAid products as well (Coffee Machine, Stand Mixer)...and this blender is the high quality we have come to expect based on the standard our other products have set!
I would recommend this to a friend!
