Fun Game for All

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 7, 5 and 2 year old. They were all able to learn Risk Jr. quickly and my 2 year old even played with little assistance. The game is simple and is really about chance more than strategy. The pirate pieces are a bit flimsy, but they do their job better if you tap them lightly to turn the dice instead of hitting them. We played this game in under ten minutes and my older kids can even play it with each other all by themselves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this game up and it was great for younger children. Its not hard to learn and the ship pieces are a cool feature as well. I love the pirate theme for the game cause of the fact that its younger children and kids gravitate more to that stuff rather than the more adult version which is a war. Over all great game and I recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big Risk fan, so was excited to try Risk Jr. with my son, he just turned 11. The box is colorful and the pirate theme make it look fun. The game board is pretty small, but makes it easier to reach. Both me and my son enjoyed the pirate ship dice launchers, though it isn't clear if the dice is suppose to stay in the ship or flip out, but I guess it dont really matter. We set up in no time, and the directions were easy to read and understand, it wasnt clear if while there are still chests on the board, if you battle for islands in between, we did and it worked out well. The directions are colorful and also include a cool map of the playing board. My son really enjoyed the island themes, even though the themes really have nothing to do with the game. He wanted to play again right after our first game was over. I think maybe my son is a bit old for this Jr version, but he enjoyed it and that's all that matters. All in all an excellent kids game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] kids love it. I will say it was not something they could read the directions on there own and figure it out. It was a little confusing, especially from someone who has never played risk before. But after reading the directions and a little arguing lol we figured it out. Now it is the go to game when the kids friends come over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were pretty excited to try Risk Junior. Once we got it set up and started playing they got kind of bored of it. They do like that the ships are used to flip the dice but it was hard for my 5 year old to get it to work right. The ships got moved around a lot while we were trying to play which complicated things a bit. We will try playing it more now that we know a little more of what to expect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always on the lookout for simple, fun, family games to play with my 7 year old. This fits the bill perfectly. He enjoyed the "battles". It adds an extra layer of fun to not know who's winning until the very end. This is helpful for my kid who if he even thinks he is losing wants to give up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game has been fun for the whole family! First of all, this game is very easy to set up. All you have to do is take the ships out, and punch the tokens out. Once you get that done, you follow the instructions. The instructions are very easy to read and follow! This game comes with the game board, pirate tokens, pirate ships, dice and treasure cards. It is made for ages 5+, so it's super easy to figure out how to play it. The board itself is actually made really well, so it should hold up for a long time, even with younger kids playing it! The other pieces are also made really well, so I can see this lasting us a long time!
The first thing I noticed about this game is that it really is made for younger kids. I LOVE that it's set up so that younger kids are able to play it without getting frustrated. Your kids do not need to know how to read to play this game. You can play it with 2-4 players so it's fun for the whole family! All you have to do is roll the dice, move your ship and see what treasure you get. If you land on an island that another player is on, you put a dice in the ship and launch the dice to see who gets the higher number. This is super fun for kids because they love launching the dice!
All in all, this game has been so fun for the entire family. It's super easy to play, and it's a family game so everyone can play, even the younger family members! I highly recommend this game to everyone because it's just fun and engaging! Give it a shot, you will not regret it!
Pros: Durable, Easy to set up, Easy to play, FUN! Cons: None yet
