Amazing phone

I wanted a new phone that would use 5g. I also wanted something that could use their mobile hotspot. The unlocked phone I had could not even though it could when i had a prepaid plan. But I just wanted something fast and modern. I got that with this phone. One thing I did not know is that a cool extra screen would come with it (you have to get it off a LG promotion site after your phone arrives).
The phone mostly comes with all the current things. I mostly had mid range phones or basic phones so this was a step up for me. It has a good camera. It gets to things pretty fast and is responsive. And it uses the latest android.
That would have been enough but the second screen case really makes this magical. It lets you run two apps or a game at the same time. And certain google apps let it make a tablet cause it puts the images, video, or website across both screens. There is a space in the middle but it is still cool. Like a cheaper galaxy fold. The screen can also be used as a keyboard or gamepad. The many uses it has are crazy. I hope they get more developers to use the wide screen function on their apps and games.
I feel happy using thus amazing phone. Unless you want a crazy resolution screen with 120fps and a crazy camera this one might be for you.
I've had my phone for a week now and so far it's fantastic!
Switching from a HTC phone, there was a few things I was looking for great audio, a great camera, and the bottom buttons (home, go back, recent apps). The audio is very clear and I haven't experienced any kind of distortion. And of course, it comes with a headphone jack :) That was important to me as I don't want to switch to wireless headphones.
The camera is leagues better than the one on my old HTC phone! The editing settings are a bit different, but nothing to cry over. I'm very satisfied with the quality of photos taken, sometimes it's a challenge at low light but nothing serious. I also enjoy how easy it is to organize my stuff in the gallery once I learned how to do it. I have to go to menu, press select, then go to menu again to see the option to move or copy.
As for the buttons, by default it's replaced by gestures. To go back, from either side of the phone, slide toward the center of the screen. To go home, just slide up from the bottom. And to see recent apps, slide up from the bottom then hold for a second. The list of gestures are at settings - display - navigation bar. From there you can also switch to buttons if preferred!
A nice feature I've enjoyed is being able to adjust the volume according to each app. Ex. My game app might be at 60% volume while my music app is at 90%, etc. Just change the volume like normal and you'll see the option to adjust by app.
The size of the phone isn't a big deal as I thought it would be. I have small hands, but I'm still able to be on my phfor one handed texting.one in comfort. There is an option to change the keyboard to allow
The fingerprint scan is reliable most of the time. I'd say it takes 7/10 times for it to read my fingerprint without having to try again.
It offers a lot of options to personalize my phone to settings that make using it much more comfortable. I also absolutely love the blue color and the rose gold framing! The back is made of glass, so be sure to buy a case for it.
I searched over the course of a few days and I am glad that I waited. I was just about to pull the trigger on a different phone when this one popped up. I have been a LG fan for about 6 years now having owned the V20, V30 and V40. I hated the V40 and went back to the 30. First thing about this phone? It's huge. I have very large hands so it is easy for me to use and navigate. The processor is fast. The pictures and video are better than I could ask for. Reception while driving around is comparable to my previous phones. I live in an area that is kind of bad and it still works and this was the one thing I was worried about. I just wish my case would get here. Doesn't have a lot of junk software to drain your battery. OH...speaking of battery. You can tell that it is a high capacity battery. It lasts me a full 24 to 36 hours. So battery life is amazing. I play an online golf game, scroll through social media and I talk and text a lot. So it is getting used. I think that LG hit a homerun on this one!
Nice phone, but dual screen not yet optimized. Hinge between screens too large. Should have used slim metal case instead of chunky plastic. Phone should also stay in the position I leave it in and not flap around. Only a handful of of programs run with dual screen. Needs 90hz screens or more. Apart from that it is a good solid phone.
