Hinge slowly causing a crack under light usage

I bought my Lenovo Chromebook less than 7 months ago. Guess what? The right hinge is failing. Unfortunately, I failed to do adequate research which otherwise would have show this as a major product defect. I emailed Lenovo Warranty only to learn they view this as "Physical Damage" and not covered under their 1-year warranty. As an aside, Lenovo recommended I contact one of their "authorized" repairs shops and pay out of pocket. Guess what the repair shop recommendation was? It was too expensive to repair and they recommended I just leave the screen open. So I know have an underpowered desktop with no flexibility.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great laptop but no accessories

I have been impressed with this laptop so far. It was bought for my kids as a birthday gift. I have trying to find Outside cases, glass screen protectors, and keyboard covers. It is like this laptop doesn’t exists! This site is useless too. The chat option is only about a purchase or tech issues. So far 3 stars because the pic quality, speed I all great for my middle school kids. I am just not sure how long they will last if I can’t protect it.
Very disappointed in my new Chromebook, I opted for the more cost efficient option with the 5205 U processor hoping that Lenovo's reputation for making quality machines would come through, unfortunately this machine runs very slowly even with only a couple of tabs open and frequently freezes when performing simple tasks like scrolling through photos in the photo viewer. Not worth the money that I saved will be looking into returning this labtop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a couple of Chromebooks, mostly on the lower tier. This is my first "mid-grade" Chromebook. I can't justify spending laptop money on a Chromebook, and after experiencing this device for a few weeks, you don't need to. This is a quality entry, great screen, solid keyboard and plenty of memory.

A big part of what I needed for was hooking it up to my TV to play video files (mkv, Avi, mp4). I have just come across problem after problem and I think a lot of it is due to the fact that these things aren't powerful enough and don't support the full versions of video playing apps.
