Exactly Right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching available 18" dishwashers, I went with the Frigidare. So far, and it has only been about a month, it has met my expectations. The black model looks great; it cleans well; it fits the small space that I have. The GE it replaced was over 10 years old and no problems until this year; that is what I hope for with this Frigidare. BTW I believe the Frigidare cleans better than the previous dishwasher when it, too, was new. Rated 4 stars for now because we haven't used it long enough to give it 5 star rating.

Do Not Buy

Worked twice, and now has a permanent i4 error message. The interior is blocked and has permanent moisture. Brought a plumber out to fix it, and all the plumbing to and from the machine is without error- it's just the machine. Not to mention - INCREDIBLY loud.

An i4 code indicates a water flow error. I have provided a few quick troubleshooting tips you can follow below.
• Check the use of detergent
• Check if the dishwasher is installed on level ground
• Search for any leaking points
However, you noted the dishwasher had only been used twice so it is likely still under the manufactures warranty. We would certainly like to assist you in resolving this code so that you can properly enjoy your dishwasher. This is absolutely not the experience we envisioned for you.

Broke during first use

There was 4 min left to the end of the first wash and it just broke. Now waiting for the warranty service.

Compact and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our kitchen has limited space, so we were looking for a compact dishwasher. This was the perfect fit and we were pleased with how quiet it was. While it may be a smaller dishwasher, you can still fit a decent load of dishes in it and it cleans even some very dirty food-stuck-on dishes with ease.

I hate it.

Our 26 year old dishwasher unfortunately died and we needed to replace it. Read a ton of reviews on best smaller dishwashers and finally decided on this Frigidaire unit based on the positive ratings. After a few weeks of use I feel like we made the biggest mistake. This unit’s capacity is soooo much smaller than our last unit’s. We can’t fit nearly the amount of items in it, especially glasses/mugs and bowls. I don’t even understand the short spokes that are in it, they don’t support much of anything. If you want to stack bowls on the top rack you have to use the adjustable flap to support them which means you cut in half the space available for glasses. Due to the center spikes being so short and oddly slanted we can’t fit glasses in that area. The spokes for the plates in the bottom rear rack are okay, at least the spokes there are a reasonable height. The front part of the bottom rack however barely supports any dishes. Again, the short, overly slanted spokes keep bowls from being positioned upright and do not allow for that many items being placed in the rack. The last row of spokes on the bottom closest to the front of the dishwasher are so close to the edge that you can’t even squeeze small containers in there to utilize more space. As for plastic containers, what a pain. They don’t fit easily anywhere and stayed filled with water even after full cycle wash, despite using the heavy duty heated dry cycle. I notice the silverware often doesn’t get cleaned completely and have been having to wash by hand afterwards. The control panel is difficult to read and the font is very tiny so add that to the list of negatives. Only positive thing I can say is it doesn’t leave spots on the glasses or silverware. I hate it and am so disappointed. I wish I could uninstall it and return it, this is the worst appliance purchase we ever made. Guess we are stuck with it and with having to do more dishes by hand.

Great Dishwasher

I gave up what I considered the world's best full size dishwasher for this smaller model. I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I can for into it. Make no mistake, it is smaller; bit I can fit in it. It cleans well without pre-rinsing. It does a good job of drying, but doesn't dry as well as my previous dishwasher. On the whole, it's a great dishwasher.

2 units in 6 months both BAD

I've had two units in 6 months both showed error codes within 2 wash cycles. wasted time with Frigidaire service contractors and still don't have a dishwasher that works! Old Frigidaire unit that this model replaced ran flawlessly for 10 years. Won't buy Frigidaire again.
