Great Grill!

Grill is excellent! One issue ...I can't get my swing away grate to sit straight on the screws from the lid...instructions in user guide were poor and very unclear as to this. .. my grate sits more on one screw than the other and looks like it will fall after opening and cloSing the lid too many times. .. help with this issue please?

I love my Char-Broil Barrel Grill! But,,,

I live in Washington State. Even though my grill is covered year around. The meat & coal grates rust & fall apart way too easy. Love the durability of the of the shell though. Might have to go back to Webber???

Love it but rusted out quickly even with cover

I love this grill but almost immediately the bottom started to bubble and now rusting out even with a cover. I have only had it a couple of years

Perfect Basic Grill

This grill works great and is 5 stars for the price. Bought this grill 4 years ago now and use it at least once a week in season. Has survived Chicago winters, outdoors, without any problems. Love the cast iron grates. Sears much better and will outlast and out perform the wire grates most grills at this price come with. This grill is all manual. Open and close vents to control temp and height adjusted fire grate. The grill is large enough to have coal on one side to sear and cooler temp on the other for indirect heat. This will satisfy the need for your basic grill and more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Starting season three, and it's been nothing but good so far.
I've had no rust problems because I followed the instructions and seasoned it with solid veg oil. Each time I start up I let it heat the grill to something north of 350 scrape them down coat it with some olive oil (I've started using the spray-on). Once the fire is out I close the chimney & side vents (important). At the end of the season I give them the soap & water treatment, towel dry, then give them a few minutes in a 250 oven, finally I wrap them in plastic grocery bags & keep them inside. When preparing for a new season, I season again!
Keeping the cast iron in good condition is worth the extra effort; gotta love the sear marks!
Yes the ash pan is warping, it should last another couple seasons.
Please keep making them, in another five or ten years I may want another.
I just don't give five stars because then you'd stop trying to improve!

Been using the small barrel charcoal grill for 2 1/2 years in South Florida, it has survived structurally in this humid wet climate outside with weekly use grilling or slow smoking, the adjustable fire grate is a nice feature. I've had other much more expensive grills, but for charcoal, the Char-Broil has held up better than the others. The grates and cover are the only items to wear out in that time - but again, that fire grate has been well used. The body of the grill is due for a touch-up paint job, but still holding up and working great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got this grill for Fathers day 2016.great grill has served me well over the last year.swing gate has broken off but ordering a new one to keep this baby going.
