This grill is terrible

This is not a grill, its a food warmer. It may get as hot as 350, which is well below the 500 degree setting. However, as soon as you open the cover to put your items in to grill the grill falls to barely 250. It's very disappointing. My fault for not looking into this grill more before I bought it.

Dangerous Grill

This grill is dangerous. It caught fire 3 times, just one drip of grease from the food and that's all it takes. The last time I used it I actually had to use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire and the smoke was horrendous. Was grilling of piece of Salmon just with a dry rub seasoning! I would never recommend this model to anyone. It should have some protection around the heating element to prevent grease from dripping onto it.
Also, heating is not consistent, especially if cooking more than a few pieces of food, temperature ALWAYS drops to a level where it's useless.
Look up some videos on Youtube as proof this is a dangerous grill.
Waste of money and going in the trash as of today.

Electric cord Junk

On my 3rd use the cord stopped operating . Worst purchased ever .

Just got it assembled

Just assembled and am doing burn in. It wobbles even after trying to adjust the screws that were indicated as an adjustment for this problem. It heats up fairly quickly and did make it to 500'f on my grill thermoworks thermometer

If the adjustments haven’t resolved the issue, we recommend checking the grill’s legs and frame to ensure everything is properly seated. lOVE THE GRILL BUT THEY DON'T LAST

I HAVE BOUGHT ABOUT 8 OF THESE GRILLS SINCE 2011 THEY LAST ABOUT 1 TO 2 YEARS. BEST ELECTRIC GRILL BUT I SURE WISH THEY HELD UP BETTER.

Put a 10” round grate in the bottom and top it with a handful of ceramic briquettes. Do this, and you’ll never be sorry you didn’t buy an expensive gas grill. We have our electric Charbroil in a part time home. We really didn’t want to get into coming and going and leaving gas canisters unattended for weeks at a time. This is a perfect solution. Once the steaks/burgers are off the grill, resting, we toast the garlic bread/buns right on the Charbroil.
Hey, Charbroil! Now make an outdoor electric deep fryer! And a griddle!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved mine

I had one and the coils burnt out. I loved the grill the taste and the lack of chemical starters. BUT it was a nightmare to assemble [I'm in my 70's] . I am looking to buy another but only IF it come all put together. It does trip circuit breaks so I agree it needs a stronger one installed. That however raises the price beyond what I can afford on a fixed income. WHAT A dilemma!
I would recommend this to a friend!
